Born March 9, 1937 to the late Mr. Mack and Mrs. Lady B. Moreland Glover in Ocilla Irwin county Georgia. Mrs. Fice was a Licensed practical Nurse at Osceola nursing home for many years, and was well loved and respected in her community especially the kid, for her freeze cups.

Mr. Johnny L. Merritt

Mr. Merritt is survived by Two brothers: Mr. Harold (Mary) Merritt and Mr. Bobby (Jackie) Merritt of Ocilla, Georgia. A special niece Ms. Palma Vereen of Atlanta Georgia, also a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Home going celebration for Mr. Johnny L. Merritt will be held on Saturday February 17,2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Davis funeral home chapel 301 North Oak street Ocilla, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery. Mr. Merritt will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:00 until the funeral hour. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements. 

Minister Everett Darron Talton Sr.

Minister Everett Darron Talton SrToday we pause to give a tribute of love to the life of Minister Everett Darron Talton Sr. 
Minister Everett D. Talton began his earthly journey on November 3, 1964 in Ocilla Georgia, to the late Reverend Edford Talton Sr. and the late Sister Johnnie L. Talton. He was the youngest brother of Nine siblings.
Minister Talton received his education from the Irwin county High school, Irwin county, Ocilla Georgia.
At an early age he joined the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Lax Georgia. Later in life he joined New Birth Life changing Ministry and Life Christian Fellow Ministry and later returned to his home church of New Bethel, Lax.

During his life he met and married, the late Ms. Cynthia Brooks of Fitzgerald Georgia. To this union One son was born.
Minister Talton leaves to cherish his memories: One son: Mr. Everett Darron Talton Jr. of Fitzgerald Georgia. Two step sons: Mr. Corey Brooks and Mr. Deeekie Brooks of Fitzgerald Georgia. Siblings: Mrs. Shirley (Larry) Deberry of Ocilla Georgia, Deacon Jeremiah (Fannie) Talton of Fitzgerald Georgia, Sister. Erma Jean (William) Bryant of Ocilla Georgia, Deacon Joel (Joyce) Talton of Ocilla Georgia, Minister Lillian (Rev. Anthony) Cole of Ocilla Georgia, Deacon Timonthy (Latoya) Talton of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Elnora Delphine Talton his twin sister of Ocilla Georgia. Three Aunts: Sister Eve Herring and sister Ida Anderson both of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Hazel Wynn of Moultrie Georgia. One uncle Rev. Johnny L. Talton of West Palm Beach Florida. Also a host of nieces nephews, cousins relatives and friends.

Home going celebration for Minister Everett Darron Talton will be held on Saturday January 6, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. from the Bethelhem Baptist Church 500 North Lincoln Street Ocilla Georgia, where the Rev. Willie C. Mobley is Pastor. Rev. Charles Anderson Sr. will deliver the Eulogy, Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery. Minister Talton will lie in state at the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak Street in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 7:00 P.M. and Saturday morning 10:00 until 12:00 noon and at the church until the funeral hour.

Mr. Eddie Lamar Simpson

EddieSimpsonWith sincere sympathy the Davis funeral home of Ocilla Georgia announces the death and funeral services for the late Mr. Eddie Lamar Simpson of 318 South Grant Street apt. 303, Fitzgerald Georgia.  Mr. Simpson entered into eternal rest at his home in Fitzgerald, on Sunday December 3, 2017 surrounded by his family and friends.  Born June 24, 1944, to the late Mr. Howard Simpson Sr. and Mrs. Nora Lane Simpson in Ocilla Irwin county Georgia.   Mr. Simpson is survived by his loving and devoted wife:  Mrs. Patricia Smith Simpson of Fitzgerald, Georgia.  Their children:  Mr. Shawn Simpson of  Carol City Fla., Mr. Sammie Smith and Ms. Decarlo Smith both of Atlanta Georgia, Ms. Kathryn Smith of Ocilla, Georgia, and Ms. Latoya Smith of Tifton Georgia.  One sister Minister Mary Hightower of Miami Fla.  Two brothers Mr. Billy Simpson of Tifton Georgia and Mr. Howard Simpson Jr. of Newark New Jersey. His mother in law: Mrs. Rosa Lee McCray of Snellville Georgia.  Brother and sister in laws:  Ms. Virginia Smith of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Sharon Holley of Tifton Georgia, Mr. Sammie Smith of Indianapolis Indiana, Mr. Johnny Brown of Snellville Georgia, and Mr. Thomas Smith of Tifton Georgia.  Mr. Simpson also leaves a host of nieces, nephews cousins relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Lamar Simpson will be held on Sunday December 10, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. from the chapel of the Davis funeral home 301 north Oak street Ocilla Georgia with the Rev. J. Johnson officiating.
Mr. Simpson will lie in state at the Davis funeral home Saturday1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Bobby James Rispress

With sincerely sympathy the Davis funeral home of Ocilla Georgia announces the death and funeral services for Mr. Bobby James Rispress  aka Bobby Dent of Ocilla Georgia. Born July 18, 1948 in Lumpkin Georgia Mr. Rispress was a life along resident of Ocilla Georgia. Mr. Rispress is survived by His children:  Ms. Iris Rispress and Mr. Roosevelt Green of Fitzgerald, Georgia.  A host of nieces, nephews cousins relatives and friends also survives.
Funeral services for Mr. Bobby James Rispress will be held on Thursday November 30, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of the Davis funeral home located at 301 North Oak street in Ocilla Georgia.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla cemetery.
Mr. Rispress will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Wednesday morning 11:00 until 7:30 p. m. and Thursday morning until the funeral hour.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Mrs. Heather Anderson Clark

One sister: Mrs. Ladonna Anderson Johnson ( husband Mark) of Ocilla Georgia. One brother: Mr. Wayne Kaream Anderson, ( wife Maranda) of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends survives.

A home going celebration for Mrs. Heather Anderson Clark will be held on Saturday November 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Midway Baptist church located on Highway 32 East of Ocilla, in the Holt community, where the Rev. Al Keith Milton is pastor.  Minister  Adrian Bellamy will deliver the eulogy, Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery on Valdosta Ave.
Mrs. Clark will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 7:30 p.m. and Saturday morning at the church 10:00 until the funeral hour.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
