What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear.  What a privilege, it is to carry. Everything to God in prayer. O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pains we bear.  All because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer.  With sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death of Mr. Sylvester Collier Jr. on July 27, 2020 at Brookwood health care center in Homestead Fla. Mr. Collier is survived by Five sons: Mr. Tracy (Mrs. Martenzy Couch) Collier of Miami Florida, Mr. Irish (Mrs. Ida) Brewton of West Palm Florida, Mr. Gregory Collier of Miami Florida, Mr. Ricky Collier of Fitzgerald Georgia, and Mr. Dwayne (Mrs. Felisa) Brewton of North Carolina.  Four brothers: Mr. Robert Collier Sr. of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Willis Collier Sr. of Miami Florida, Mr. Charles Collier Sr. of Miami Florida, and Mr. Saul Collier of Miami Fla.  Two sisters:  Mrs. Bedonia Marshall of Wray Georgia and Mrs. Linda Martin of Adelanto California.  Twenty grand children and Twenty one great grand children along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Sylvester Collier Jr. is planned for Saturday August 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocilla city cemetery 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla Georgia.  Rev. Emanuel  Ellison, pastor of the New Bethel Baptist church of Lax Georgia will officiate.  Mr. Collier will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday afternoon 1:00 p.n. until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla, has charge of all arrangements  Please continue to lift the Collier family up in prayer.
