Ms. Verdell Denise Laster

Verdell LasterOh far a closer walk with God, a calm and heavenly friend.  A light to shine upon the road, that leads me to the lamb.  With sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, announces the death and home going services for Ms. Verdell Denise Laster of Ocilla Georgia.  Born October 1, 1965 to the late Mary Will Laster, and the late John Litman.  Ms. Laster departed this life on Sunday July 28, 209 at the Irwin county hospital in Ocilla Georgia.  Ms. Laster is survived by Two daughters: Tameka Shawn (Joe) Jimerson of Tifton Georgia and Tenika Riley of Tifton Georgia.  Grandchildren:  Ahmora Terry and Blair Jimerson both of Tifton Georgia, along with a host of Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Ms. Laster is planned for Saturday August 3, 2019 at 12:00 noon from the Empowerment Temple Church of God by Faith, 601 North Oak street Ocilla, where the Rev. Kenneth R. Moore serves as pastor. Minister Soffie  McGladen will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla cemetery (West) on Valdosta Ave. Ocilla Georgia.  Ms. Laster will lie in state at the Davis funeral home, Friday morning 10:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Please continue  to lift the family up in prayer.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
