Smith of Rochester Hills Mich.  Ms. smith is the daughter of Mr. Lester Jerome Smith and Mrs. Vernal Miller Smith of Rochester Hills Mich.  Ms. Smith leaves to cherish her memories in addition to her parents, a sister: Mrs. Keinya Kohlbecker of Portland Org. and One brother: Mr. Darren J. Smith of Lake Orion Mich.  A grandmother Mrs. Novella Miller of Ocilla Georgia.  A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. 

Mr. Henry Baker Jr.

Born in Miami Fla. on July 18, 1956 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baker Sr. Raised by his grand parent Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Carver Sr. in Ocilla Georgia.  Mr. Baker departed this life On October 1, 2016 at his home in Ocilla Georgia.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and caring companion, Ms. Louvonnia Eady of Ocilla Ga. Two daughters: Mrs. Jammie and Corey Wilcox and Ms. Tatyana Cunningham of Ocilla Ga.  One son: Mr. Mario Holden of Ocilla Ga.  Three Grandchildren, and One great grandchild.  Siblings:  Master Sgt. Damon Carver of Fitzgerald Ga.  Ms. Sharon Carver and Mrs. Cleo Oliver of Ocilla Ga.,  Mrs. Vennie Ree Holden and Mrs. Christell Debrow of Fitzgerald Ga., Mrs. Betty Jenkins of Miami Fla.  A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survives.

Mr. Thomas White

TCWhiteWith sincere sympathy the Davis Funeral Home of Ocilla Georgia announces the death and funeral services for Mr. Thomas White aka (TC) of 306 North Alder Street in Ocilla Georgia. Born October 5, 1959 to the late Eddie James White Sr. and Elizabeth Richardson White in Ocilla Georgia, Mr. White departed this life on Monday morning September 26, 2016 at his home in Ocilla Georgia surrounded by family and friends.

Mr. White is suvived by Two children: Ms.Twaneshia C. Powell and Jamari Quiniece Mack both of Ocilla Ga. One Grand child: Ms. Tashirah Powell of Ocilla Ga. Four brothers: Mr. David (Shawanda Demps) White of Ocilla Ga., Mr. Arnold White and Mr. Arthur White both of Lumpkin Ga., and Mr. Alvin White of Miami Fla. A special friend Ms. Earlene Mack of Ocilla Ga., A host of suviving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Thomas White will be held on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of the Davis Funeral Home 301 North Oak Street in Ocilla Ga. The Rev. Randy Shelly will deliver the Eulogy. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery. Mr. White will lie in state at the Davis funeral home from Friday morning 10:00 until 7:30 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:00 until the funeral hour.

The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements. 

Mrs. Mary Madglene Dent Ross

Mary RossWith sincere sympathy the Davis Funeral Home of Ocilla Georgia announces the death and funeral services for Mrs. Mary Madgelene Dent Ross of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Born  April 7, 1931 in Eastman, Dodge County Georgia to the late Mr. Rollie and Mrs. Annie Lee Simpson Dent.  Mrs. Ross departed this life on September 14, 2016 at the Pruitt health Care center in Fitzgerald Georgia. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years Mr. Williams Ross Jr. of Fitz. Ga.  Children:  Ms. Mary Joyce Ross of Ocilla Ga., Mr. William(Olga Ross) of West Orange New Jersey, Mr. Willie James(Wylene Ross) of Ocilla Ga., Ms. Hattie Pearl Ross, Mr. Melvin Ross, Mrs. Helen(Theophilus Craddock), Mr. Sammy Ross, Mr. Johnny Ross, Mr. Charlie Ross,  and Mr. Sidney(Lisa Ross) all of Fitzgerald, Ga.  Mr. Morris (Carmen Ross) of Warner Robins Ga.  Thirty Three grandchildren, Forty Six great grandchildren, and Two great great grandchildren.  Three brothers:  Mr. J. B.(Maggie Dent), Mr. Moses(Debbie Dent), of Miami Fl. Mr. Robert(Grace Dent) of Vidalia Ga.  Five sisters: Mrs. Earnestine(Columbus Bryant) of Wray Ga., Ms. Christine Dent of Vidalia Ga., Mrs. Margaree(James Dean), Mrs. Betty Gayman and Ms. Idell Dent all of Miami Fla.  Brother and sister in law:  Mr. Clarence(Inette Ross), Mr. David(Sadie Ross), Mrs. Ruby J. Arnold, Mrs. Blondell Tucker all of Ocilla Ga.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends also survives.

Mr. Jeffery Devine

Jeffery DevineWith sadness in our hearts the Davis Funeral Home of Ocilla Georgia announces the Death and funeral services for Mr. Jeffery Devine of 111 Madison Ave.  Fitzgerald Georgia, on Monday September 5, 2016 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald Georgia. Born March 26, 1963 to the late Mr. James Devine and Mrs. Macie Devine.

Mrs. Nettie Mae Martin Gainer

Mrs Nettie MaeWith sincere sympathy the Davis funeral home of Ocilla Georgia announces the death and funeral services for the late Mrs. Nettie Mae Martin Gainer. 

Born April 6, 1930 to the late Sonny  and Effie Floyd Martin.  Mrs. Gainer was married to  Mr. Charlie Gainer Jr. who preceded her in death.  A member of the Pleasant Grove missionary Baptist church, where she served as a senior usher and Senior mission society.  Mrs. Gainer quietly departed this life Tuesday August 30, 2016 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas Georgia.
