Mrs. Mary Lewis Gilyard

Mary Gilyard Father, we stretch our hands, to thee, no other help we know.  If you withdraw yourself from us, we have nowhere to go.  It is with sincere sympathy that we the staff of the Davis funeral home. 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and homegoing celebrations for Mrs. Mary Lewis Gilyard.  Born February 5, 1927, in Ocilla, Irwin County Georgia to the late Mrs. Mary Etta Jackson Lewis and the late Mr. Charles Otis Lewis.  Mrs. Gilyard received God's call to her everlasting home on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Kitty Askins health care center in Goldsboro North Carolina.  Mrs. Gilyard leaves to cherish her memories, her children:  Ms. Karen Pat Gilyard of Lawrenceville Ga., Mr. Raymond Keith Gilyard of State College Penn. and Ms. Barbara Gilyard of Riverside Calif. along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Mary Etta Gilyard is planned for Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. from the Davis funeral home chapel in Ocilla where Rev. Dr. Louis Forsythe II, pastor of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist church of Detroit Michigan will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 700 North Oak Street in Ocilla Georgia.  Mrs. Gilyard will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Saturday afternoon 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home in Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

T4, Griffin Georgia 30224.  Born November 14, 1961, in Ocilla, Irwin County Georgia to the late Mr. Ruby Lee Mack and the late Mrs. Mertice Dunnom Mack.  Mr. Received God's everlasting call on Monday November 25, 2024 at his home in Griffin Georgia.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Ms. Kimberly Mack of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Tawana Lee Mack of Mcdonough Georgia, and Mrs. Kawana and Mr. Alex Adebajo of Fairburn Georgia.  His siblings: Mr. Anthony and Mrs. Nicey Mack of Fitzgerald Georgia and Mr. Freddie Lee Mack of Ocilla Georgia, along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins' relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Clarence Mack is planned for Saturday December 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Midway Baptist church, Holt Georgia, where Rev. Al Keith Milton serves as pastor.  Minister Sharon Strozier will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery.  Mr. Mack will lie in state Friday morning 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla. Mrs. Brockington Received God's everlasting call on Wednesday November 13, 2024, at Dorminy Medical Center, Fitzgerald Georgia. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Mr. Cleveland and Mrs. Andera Brockington of Ambrose Georgia, and Mr. LaCarlo and Mrs. Heather Brockington of Douglas Georgia. Her mother: Mrs. Louvonia George of Ocilla Georgia. Siblings: Mrs. Betty and Mr. Donnie Mike of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Gerald and Mrs. Marteka George of Ocilla Georgia . A special daughter in law: Mrs. Barbara Brockington of Covington Georgia along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mrs. Johnnie Mae George Brockington is planned for Saturday November 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church at 505 East 5th Street in Ocilla where Rev. Fredrick Sanders serves as pastor. Rev. Melvin D. Harper lll pastor of Rehoboth Fellowship Church as well as Mayor of the city of Ocilla will deliver the eulogy and committal. Interment will follow in the Ocilla City Cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla. Mrs. Brockington will lie in state at the Davis Funeral Home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis Funeral Home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Lord keep us safe this night, secure us from all our fears.  May angels guard us while we sleep, till morning light appears.   It is with sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death of Ms. Sarah Ann Collier Daniels of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Born December 23, 1961, in Ocilla, Irwin County Georgia. to Mrs. Sarah Harris Collier and Mr. Henry Lee Collier.  Ms. Daniels received God's call to her eternal home on Sunday November 10, 2024 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton Georgia.  She leaves to cherish her memories:  Her husband:  Mr. Bennie Daniels Jr. of Ocilla Georgia.  Her Children:  Mrs. Tyra and Mr. James Worthy, of Douglas Georgia, Ms. Desiree Collier of Warner Robins Georgia, and Ms. Patricia Beden of Detroit Mich. along with a host of in-laws, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home goings services for Mrs. Sarah Ann Collier Daniels are incomplete at this time and will was held private by the family.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla was in charge of those arrangements.

Ms. Irishtine leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Sharon Edwards-Phillips of Fayevetteville, Georgia, her devoted niece Mrs. Sheila E. Martin (Johnny) of Ocilla, GA, 6 sisters; Mrs. Barbara J. Giles (Jimmy) of Connecticut, Ms. Janice Jackson and Ms. Rosalind West of Brunswick, GA; Ms. Rose Turner and Mrs. Theawanna Stover (David) of Springfield, MS. Brother; Mr. Larry Bishop (Shelia) of Savannah, GA along with a host of in-laws, nieces, nephew, cousins, relatives and friends. The homegoing celebration for Ms. Irishtine E. Williams is planned for Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Grove 1st Baptist Church, 217 East 7th Street, Ocilla, GA. with the pastor, Rev. James C. Curtis delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Ocilla City Cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave, in Ocilla. Ms. Williams will lie in state at the Davis Funeral Home in Ocilla, Saturday morning 11:00am until 6:00pm.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Mrs. Carolyn and Mr. William Reed, Ms. Patricia Ann Curtis, Mrs. McLeathea Burnette, Mrs. Wanda and Mr. Derrick Smith, Mr. Clifford Curtis, Rev. James and Mrs. Patricia Curtis.  Her siblings: Mr. Willie Gus and Mrs. Rachel Moore, Mrs. Ruth Hoy, Mr. James Earl Moore, Mr. George and Mrs. Annette Moore, Mrs. Betty and Mr. David Collins, and Mr. Gary and Mrs. Gwendolyn Moore.  Special nieces: Ms. Jennifer Holden and Ms. Gloria Jean Holden, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mother Bennie Mae Anderson is planned for Saturday October12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Midway Missionary Baptist Church, Holt Road, Holt Georgia, where Rev. Al Keith Milton serves as pastor.  Rev. Dexter Taylor of Douglas Georgia will deliver the eulogy and comital. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mother Anderson will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning, 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
