Mother Ida Mae George Johnson

IdaServant of God well done rest from thy love employ.  The battle is fought, the victory is won, enter thy master's joy.  It is with sincere sympathy, that the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and homegoing celebration for Mother Ida Mae George Johnson of 315 East 1st. street, Ocilla Georgia.  Born March 7, 1937, in Ocilla, Irwin County Georgia, to the Late Mrs. Sallie Mae Walker George, and the late Mr. Ben Geoge.  Mrs. Johnson finished her earthly journey on Sunday December 24, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center, in Tifton Georgia.  She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Mr. Douglas and Mrs. Rhonda Johnson of Tifton Georgia, Ms. Betty Johnson of Miami Florida, Ms. Jennifer Johnson and Mrs. Precious Blanding of Ocilla Georgia and Ms. Jamie Blanding of Atlanta Georgia.  A grandson that she raised Mr. Kenneth (Candace) Johnson.  Siblings:  Mrs. Roxie Davis of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Anne White of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Buster White of Fitzgerald Georgia.  along with a host of brother and sister in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mother Ida Mae George Johnson, is planned for Saturday December 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from the Greater Grace Temple on East 4th. street in Ocilla. Her pastor Elder Calvin Ross will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mrs. Johnson will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the George and Johnson families.

Alice Frances DwightWhat a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins, and griefs to bier.  What a privilege it is to carry, everything to God in prayer.  It is with heartfelt sympathy, that the staff and management of the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and homegoing services for Mrs. Alice Frances Dwight of 7226 Angie Ct., Riverdale, Georgia.  Born October 9, 1946, in Abbeville, Wilcox County Georgia to the late Mrs. Martha Williams Parker and the late Mr. Mack Parker.  Mrs. Dwight received God's call to eternal home on Monday December 18, 2023, Westbury of McDonough in Mc Donough Georgia.  She is survived by her husband: Mr. Mose Dwight and their son Mr. Mr. Mose Stanley Dwight both of Riverdale Georgia.  Her Siblings: Mr. Alphonso Parker, Ms. Ophelia Parker, Ms. Deborah Parker, and Mrs. Gloria Parker Calloway.  For grandchildren, Eight Great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mrs. Alice Frances Dwight is planned for, Thursday December 28, 2023, at 12:00 noon from the Joy center located on College street, in Abbeville, Georgia.  Rev. Bobby Davis will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Riverside cemetery, highway 280 East in Abbeville Georgia.  Mrs. Dwight will lie in state at the Joy Center on Thursday morning 10:00 until the funeral hour.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Parker and Dwight families.

There's a sweet sweet  sprit in this place, and I know that it's the presence of the lord.  It is with sadness in our heart, that the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia 31774 pause to announce the death of Ms. Lynzetta Nicole Barnes of Ocilla.  Born October 19, 1983, in Tifton Georgia to Mrs. Suzette Andrews Moore and Mr. Lennis Barnes.  Ms. Barnes received God's call to her eternal home on Friday afternoon December 15, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical center in Tifton Georgia surrounded by her devoted family. She is survived by her children: Mr. Kobe Barnard Barnes, Mr. Kody Bryce Barnes and Mr. Kole Quentavis Barnes all of Ocilla Georgia.  Her parent: Mrs. Suzette Andrews Moore and Mr. Lennis Barnes both of Ocilla Georgia. One grandchild: Malaya Brielle Barnes of Ocilla.  Her siblings: Mr. Lennis Barnes Jr., Ms. Moshya White, Mrs. Milissa and Mr. Fredrick Johnson, Mrs. Jennifer and Mr. Fred Marshall all of Ocilla Georgia. Ms. Paula Wilson of Fitzgerald Georgia, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mrs. Lynzetta  Nicole Barnes is planned for Saturday December 23, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the St. John Missionary Baptist church, Satilla Road, Wray Georgia where Rev. Herbert Coney serves as pastor.  Rev. Melvin Harper, pastor of Rehoboth Fellowship of Ocilla will deliver the Eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery.  Ms. Barnes will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.

Their children: Jeremiah Smith and Darian Smith both of Stockbridge Georgia.  Parent: Ms. Essie Mae Riley of Ocilla Georgia and Mr. Larry and Mrs. Andrea Searcy of Douglas Georgia.  Siblings: Ms. Claudine Lampkin of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Larry Jr. and Mrs. Nikki Searcy of Cordele Georgia, Ms. Erica Riley of Tifton Georgia, Mr. Thomas Charles Cunningham III of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Tatyanla Cunningham of Ocilla Georgia, and Ms. Renata Belmer of Jacksonville Florida, along with a host of aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephew, cousins' relatives and friends.

Steven KelloggCome ye that love the lord, and let your joys be known.  Join in a song a sweet accord, and thus around the throne.  Let those refuse to sing, who never knew our God, but children of the heavenly king, may speak their joys abroad.  With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia, pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for Mr. Steven Kellogg of 605 South Sherman Street, Fitzgerald Georgia.   Born October 17, 1955, in Saginaw Michigan, to Ms. Betty Jean Johnson and the late Mr. Robert Kellogg.  Mr. Kellogg received God's call to his eternal home on Thursday November 30, 2023, at Coffee Regional Medical center in Douglas Georgia.  He leaves to cherish his memories his mother: Ms. Betty Jean Johnson of Buffalo New York.  His children: Ms. Sharika Kellogg of West Palm Beach Florida, Ms. Kika Kellogg of California, Mrs. Victoria and Mr. Leon Stephenson of Las Vegas Navada, Mrs. Sade and Mr. Rufus Curtis of Ocilla Georgia, and Ms. Sade Renee Thrope of California.  His siblings: Mr. David and Margaret Dawson, Mrs. Patricia and Mr. Alfonso Quinney'Hayes,of Buffalo New York, Ms. Jeanette Walker of Buffalo New York, and Mrs. Lynnett and Mr. John Kean of Buffalo New York.  Mother-in-law: Mrs. Odessa Merritt of Ocilla Georgia, along with several grandchildren, brother and sister in laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mr. Steven Kellogg is planned for Saturday December 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from the True-Life Restoration center, 801 North Irwin Ave., Ocilla where Dr. Johnny Edwards serves as pastor.  Minister Marice Lake will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mr. Kellogg will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Kellogg family.

Willie Daniel YoungHow happy is every child of grace, that knows his sins are forgiven.  This earth I cry is not my home, I seek my home in heaven.  It is with heartfelt sympathy, that the staff of the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death and home going services for Mr. Willie Daniel Young of 612 /east 10th street, Ocilla Georgia.  Born November 4, 1949, in Ocilla Irwin County Georgia to the late Ms. Willie Mae Ross and the late Mr. Daniel Young.  Mr. Young received God's call from labor to reward on Friday November 10, 2023, at his home in Ocilla surrounded by his loving family.  Wille Daniel and survived by his loving and devoted wife: Mrs. Carolyn Wynn Young of Ocilla. Their children: Minister Kelvin and Mrs. Addie Young of Ocilla, Mr. Wilbert and Mrs. Bernitta Young of Ocilla, Mrs. Milissa and Mr. Shawn of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Siberia Young and Mr. Brandon Young both of Ocilla Georgia.  Siblings: Mrs. Sallie Mae Harris of Tifton Georgia, Ms. Evon Smith of Eastman Georgia, Minister Michael Smith of Eastman Georgia, Ms. Cleo Young of Gilford Florida and Mr. Kenneth Smith of Belle Glade   Florida. Eight grandchildren, and Six great grandchildren, along with a host of sister in laws, brother in laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home going services for Mr. Willie Daniel Young is planned for Saturday November 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from the New Bethel Baptist church, 401 East 7th street Ocilla, where Rev. Christopher R. Douglas serves as pastor.  Rev. Corey Wynn will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave, in Ocilla.  Mr. Young will lie in state at the Davis funeral home, Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.   The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Young and Wynn families.
