Junior Slacks  With sadness in our hearts the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia 31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for  Deacon Junior B. Slacks of 510 West Alapaha Street, Fitzgerald Georgia  31750.  Born May 7, 1946, in Mystic Georgia, to the late Mr. Ezekiel Slacks Sr. and the late Mrs. Mattie Bell Crumedy Hyman.  Deacon Slacks received God's call from labor to reward on Thursday May 5, 2022 at his home in Fitzgerald.  He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Freddie Mae Deese Slacks, of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Children: Ms. Pamela Slacks, Ms. Dianne Deese, and Mr. Raymond Deese all of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Cherron Deese and Ms. Greta Deese both of Jacksonville Florida,  Mrs. Beverly and Mr. Markus Lawson, Mr. Tyrone and Mrs. Parsha Slacks of Chula Georgia, and Mrs. Karen and Mr. Carl Jenkins of Fitzgerald Georgia. Slacks are planned for Saturday May 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Friendship Missionary Baptist church, Moss lane in Osierfield Georgia.  Rev. Dexter Taylor will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Oak Grove cemetery Highway 32 West in Irwinville Georgia.  Deacon Slacks will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning at the church 11:00 until the funeral hour.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please keep the Slacks, Deese, and Hyman families lifted up in prayer. 

Mrs. Sandra Goolsby Watson

Sandra WatsonFather, we stretch our hands to thee, no other help we know.  If you withdraw yourself from us, we have nowhere to go.  With heartfelt sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia, pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for Mrs. Sandra Goolsby Watson, of 449 Fitzgerald highway in Ocilla Georgia.  Born January 26, 1971, in Ocilla, Irwin County Georgia to the late, Mr. Sherman Goolsby Sr. and the late Mrs. Parlie Mae Killebrew Goolsby. Mrs. Watson received God's call to her heavenly home, on Tuesday April 26, 2022, at her home in Ocilla.  Mrs. Watson is survived her daughter: Ms. Monquie Newkirk (Timothy Brown) of Fitzgerald Georgia. Grandchildren: Larriesha Pope, Dominique Brown, K'lannie Brown, and Kemiya Brown all of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Siblings: Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Sylvia Goolsby of Broxton Georgia, Mr. Sherman Jr. and Mrs. Kari Goolsby of Waycross Georgia, Mrs. Shaunda and Mr. Timothy Walton of Wray Georgia.  A special sister-in-law: Mrs. Shonda Goolsby of Wray Georgia along with a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Sandra Delois Watson is planned for Saturday April 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla Georgia.  Her pastor Rev. James C. Curtis will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mrs. Watson will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Watson, Goolsby, and Killebrew families.

Evangelist Eleanor Daisy Williams Thomas

eleanor ThomasServant of God well done, rest from thy love employ.  The battle is fought, the victory is won, enter thy master's joy.  With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and homegoing celebration for Evangelist Eleanor Daisy Williams Thomas of Byron Georgia.  Born December 1, 1946 in Lax, Irwin county Georgia to the late Mrs. Elnora Hawkins Williams and the late Mr. Leroy Williams Sr.   A loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, Evangelist and friend, known to many as Nanny, received God's call from labor to reward on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at her home in Byron Georgia surrounded by her loving and devoted family.  She is survived by her Loving husband: Pastor Robert Lee Thomas of Byron Georgia.  Their children: Ms. Zondria Moore of Waner Robins Georgia, Mr. Christopher and Mrs. Linda Lott of Moultrie Georgia. Mr. James Lott Jr. of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Zandra Thomas, Ms. Cutina Thomas, Ms. Tangela Thomas Mr. Kevin Thomas, Mr. Carlos Thomas, and Mr. Kenny Price all of Warner Robins Georgia.  Siblings: Mr. Leroy Williams Jr. of Moca Puerto Rico, Mrs. Edith Mitchell of Macungie Penn., Ms. Sandra Williams of Orlando Florida, Ms. Cheryl Lewis of Milton Florida, Mr. Carlton Williams of Jonesboro Georgia, and Mr. Gregory Williams of Byron Georgia,  Several grandchildren, brother and sister in laws, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.   A home going celebration for Evangelist Eleanor Daisy Thomas is planned for Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Empowerment Temple Church of God By Faith at 600 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia, where pastor Kenneth Moore serves a pastor.  Pastor Walter Baker will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Dunlap/ Hawkins cemetery, Highway 158, Lax Georgia.  Evangelist Thomas will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning, 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning at the church 11:30 until the funeral hour.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Williams and Thomas families.

Marvin Smith Sr. will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Ms. Carter will lie in state on Saturday March 12, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist church 28 South Williams Street, Alapaha Georgia where Rev.
