Born March 9,1925 in Ocilla Georgia to the Late Mr. Charlie Gainer Sr. and the late Mrs. Estella Bryant Gainer. Mrs. Clowers received God's call to her eternal Home on Thursday afternoon, March 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children: Mr. Winfred Clowers of Maime Florida, Mrs. Sandra and Mr. David Davis on Fitzgerald Georgia, Mrs. Daisy Dorsey of Swansboro Georgia, Ms. Theretha Davis and Ms. Gwendoln McCloud both of Ocilla Georgia and Mr. Stephen and Mrs. Willene Clowers of Douglas Georgia. Two sisters: Ms. Amanda Gainer of Atlanta Georgia, and Frances Moore of Bridgeport Connecticut., along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mrs. Florence Gainer Clowers is planned for Sunday March 26, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove 1st. Baptist church, 215 East 7th.street Ocilla, where the pastor Rev. James C. Curtis will deliver the eulogy and committal. Interment will follow in the Ocilla cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. Mrs. Clowers will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Saturday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Sunday morning 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
