Born September 29, 1988 to Ms. Angelia Goolsby and Mr. Bernell Overton. Mrs. Bates received her eternal wings on June 27, 2025 at the Irwin county hospital in Ocilla Georgia. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband: Mr. Daniel Bates of Ludowici Georgia. Her children: Ms. Messiah Bates, Ms. Grace Bates, and Mr. Champion Bates all of Ludowici Georgia. Her parents: Ms. Angelia Goolsby and her companion, Mr. Donnell Paulk of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Bernell Overton of Brooklyn New York. Siblings: Mr. Mahogany Warner and Ms. Shakina Warner both Hinesville Georgia, Ms. Nicole Warner of Daytona Beach Florida, Mr. Marcus Warner of Woodbridge Virginia, Ms. Bernell Warner of Bronce New York, Mr. Jamel and Mrs. Tedisha Johnson of Orlando Florida, and Mrs. Alisa and Mr. Richard Johnson of Poconos Penn. along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Home going celebrations for Mrs. Ebony Bates are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by the Davis funeral home of Ocilla. Mr. Wilcox received God's call to his eternal home on Sunday June 15, 2025, at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta Georgia. A home going celebration for Mr. Arthur James Wilcox is planned for Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Davis funeral home chapel in Ocilla. Rev. Randy Shelly pastor of the Springfield Baptist church of Fitzgerald Georgia will deliver the eulogy and committal. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 700 North Oak Street in Ocilla. Mrs. Edwards received God's call to her eternal home on Thursday May 8, 2025, at her home in Ocilla, surrounded by her devoted family. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband: Mr. Alfonso Edwards Sr. of Ocilla Georgia. Their children: Mr. Kenneth and Mrs. Phyllis Edwards of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Alfonso Edwards Jr. of Chicago Ill, Mr. Mark C. Edwards of Ocilla Georgia, and Mrs. Rena and Mr. Shawn Smith of Fitzgerald Georgia. Her sister: Mrs. Naiomi Haithcock of Tifton Georgia, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mrs. Louvenia Harris Edwards is planned for Saturday May 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove 1st. Baptist church in Ocilla, where Rev. James C. Curtis serves as pastor and will deliver the eulogy and committal. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla. Mrs. Edward will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning at the church 11:00 until the funeral hour. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Louvenia Harris Edwards. Please continue to pray for the Harris and Edwards families. 
I heard an old 0ld story, how a savior from his glory. How he gave his life on Calvery to save a wretch like me. I heard about his groaning, of his precious blood a toning, Then I repented of my sins and won the victory. O victory in Jesus, my savior forever. He sought me and brought me, with his redeeming blood, he loved me i knew him and all my love is due him; he plunged me to victory beneath the cleaning flood.
