Ms. Elenor Talton Battle aka Delphine Talton

Dalphane TaltonWhat a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief to bear.  What a privilege it is to carry, everything to God in prayer.  With sadness in our heart, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia 31774, pause to announce the death of Ms. Elenora Talton Battle,  aka Delphine Talton of 119 Nottingham Way Ocilla Georgia   31774.  Born November 3, 1964 in Ocilla Georgia to the late Mrs. Johnnie Lue Wright Talton and the late Rev. Edford Talton Sr.  Ms. Battle received God's call from labor to reward on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical center in Tifton Georgia.  Ms. Battle is survived by her children: Ms. Kimbre Ellison and Ms. Angel Lee both of Ocilla Georgia, and Ms. Ariel Battle of Tifton Georgia.  Siblings:  Ms. Shirley Deberry of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Jeramiah and Mrs. Fannie Sams Talton of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mrs. Erma and William Bryant of Ocilla Georgia, Evangelist Lillian and Minister Anthony Cole of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Timothy and Mrs. LaToya Washington Talton of Ocilla Georgia.  Two Grandchildren along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Ms. Elenora Battle aka Delphine Talton is planned for Saturday September 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. Ocilla.  Her pastor, Rev. Emanuel Ellison will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Ms. Battle will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Talton and Battle families.  

Mr. Earl Wilcox Sr.

Mr. Wilcox peacefully received God's call to his heavenly home on Thursday August 12, 2021, at the Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville Georgia surrounded by a devoted family.   Mr. Wilcox is survived by his children: Mr. Earnest and Mrs. Natalia Boone of New York, New York, Ms. Courtney Daniels of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Katrina Bryant of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. Michael Wilcox of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Earl Wilcox Jr. of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Angela Wynn of Louisiana, Mr. Kevin  Freeman of Douglas Georgia, Ms. Shelia Freeman of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Tracey Freeman of Ocilla Georgia.  A special friend: Ms. Jackie Williams of Thomasville Georgia. Special niece:  Ms. Sylvia Wilcox of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Special cousin: Mr. Emmitt Ingram of Fitzgerald Georgia along with a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Earl Wilcox Sr. is planned for Saturday August 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery 301 East Valdosta Ave.  Rev. Randy Shelly will deliver the Eulogy and committal.  Mr. Wilcox will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning 10:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:30 until 12:30 noon.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Wilcox family.

Pierce, Florida, Mrs. Susan Campbell of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mrs. Tracy and Mr. Victor Smith of Millen Georgia, Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Rhonda Brown of South Carolina, Mr. Terrence and Mrs. Jade Brown of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Daisy Lawson of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Angel George of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Howard George of Ocilla Georgia.  His siblings:  Mrs. Roxie Davis, Mrs. Ida Johnson, Ms. Ann White, and Mr. Jimmie George all of Ocilla Georgia. Mr. Benjamin White of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Sister in law, Mrs. Louvia George of Ocilla Georgia, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home going service for Mr. Roosevelt George is planned for Saturday August 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla City cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave., Ocilla. His pastor Rev. Calvin Ross will deliver the eulogy and committal. Mr. George will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and at Greater Grace Out Reach Ministries 617 East 4th street Ocilla, 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please join us in keeping the George and Gaskin families lifted up in prayer.

His children: Ahmir Shamane Goodwin of Atlanta Georgia, and McKenzie Goodwin of Ocilla Georgia.  Grandparents: Ms. Ella Anderson of Ocilla Georgia and Mrs. Rosa Hall of Fitzgerald Georgia. Pastor Lindsey departed his earthly home and gained his heavenly wings on Sunday July 4, 2021  at his home in Alapaha surrounded by his loving family.  Pastor Lindsey is survived by his wife: Mrs. Bedelia Kenny Lindsey.  Their children:  Mr. Rodrick (Rod) and Mrs Marilyn Lindsey of Chesapeake Va., Mrs. Teesha and Mr. Corey Davis of Alapaha Georgia, and Mrs. Katrina Ryan of Lake Park Georgia.  His Siblings:  Mrs. Mary Lanier of Atlanta Georgia, Mrs. Sharon Green of Alapaha Georgia, Dexter and Mrs. Latronia Lanier of Albany Georgia, Mr. Robert and Mrs. Dora Lanier of Akron Ohio, Mr. Patrick Lanier of Orlando  Florida,  Mms. Bernita Cason and ms. Bernice Johnson of Tampa Florida, Mrs. Dianne and Mr. Wayne Scott of Adel Georgia Mr. Tyron Newton (Deceased).  Grandchildren:  Zion Lindsey,  Ryan Lindsey, . Brock Davis, . Rodrick Lindsey Jr., MiKayla Lindsey, Karielle Lindsey, Victoria Lindsey Mitchel Ryan and Amber Ryan, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  A home going celebration for pastor Willie Frank Lindsey is planned for Saturday July 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the New Hope Church of God Apostolic Church, located at 15 South Moore Street  Alapaha Georgia , where pastor Rosia Knighton serves as pastor.  Interment will follow in the West Fletcher cemetery on Highway 82 West in Alapaha.  Pastor Lindsey will lie in state at the New Hope church of God Apostolic, Friday afternoon 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Lindsey family.
