Leonard SimpsonI heard the voice of Jesus say, come unto me and rest.  Lie down thy weary one lie down, thy head upon my breast.  I came to Jesus as I was, weary, worn and sad.  I found in him a resting place, and he has made me glad.  It is with sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia 31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mr. Leonard Daniel Simpson Jr. of 1208 East Baker Highway, Douglas Georgia 31535.  Born October 28,1936 in Coffee County.  Mr. Simpson received God's call to his eternal home 0n Saturday April 6, 2024, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas Georgia, surrounded by his loving family.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife: Mrs. Hurley Mae Simpson of Douglas Georgia.  Their children: Ms. Shirley Simpson of Valdosta Georgia, Mrs. Jennifer Abdul Shahild of Greenville South Coralina, Mr. Earl Davis San Antonia Texas, Mr. Andre (Janice) Davis of Douglas Georgia, Mr. Cedric Davis of Douglas Georgia, Mr. Marcus (Devonia) Davis of Baltimore Maryland, Mr. Rolland (Clara) Lott of Douglas Georgia, Ms. Rosland Holden of Douglas Georgia, Mr. Willis (Debra) Lott of Ocilla Georgia and Mrs. Andrea (Kelvin) Johnson of Douglas.  His sisters: Mrs. Odessa Mizell and Mrs. Eloise Johnson along with a special care giver, Ms. Carrie Teel and numerous grands and Great grandchildren and a host of sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Leonard Daniel Simpson Jr. is planned for Saturday April 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Little Zion Missionary Baptist church of Broxton Georgia, where Rev. Willie C. Mobley serves as pastor and will deliver the eulogy and committal.   Interment will follow in the Broxton city cemetery in Broxton Georgia.  Mr. Simpson will lie in state at the Little Zion Baptist church in Broxton, on Friday afternoon 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to lift the Simpson family up in prayer.

Tucker leaves to cherish his memories his parents: Ms. Lakechia Tucker and Mr. Robert Lee Anderson Sr. both of Ocilla Georgia.  His brothers: Mr. Julian Wilcox of Orange Park Florida, Mr. Chauncey Wells of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Rodrick Washington of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Demetrius and Mrs. Marsikova Laster of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Amiri Sanders of Douglas Georgia, Mr. Andre Risby of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. Robert Lee Anderson Jr. of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. Brandon Dollar of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Zyrion Tucker of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Kheegan Tucker of Ocilla Georgia. His sisters: Ms. Erica Riley of Tifton Georgia, Ms. Breshawna Tucker of Ocilla Georgia, Ma. Al Keith Milton serves as pastor.  Rev. Melvin D. Harper will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mr. Tucker will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Saturday Morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Sunday morning 10:00 until 12:00 noon.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Christopher R. Douglas serves as pastor.  Her brother, Rev. Home going celebrations for Mr. Garfield Green is planned for Saturday February 24th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove 1st. Baptist church, 217 East 7th. street, Ocilla, where Rev. James C. Curtis serves as pastor.  His brother rev. Ernest Charles Green will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave, in Ocilla.  Mr. Green will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning, 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Green family.
