Mrs. Perita Baker Pickett

Father we strength our hands to thee; no other help we know. If you withdraw yourself from us; O where would we go.  With sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia, announces the death of Mrs. Perita Baker Pickett of Ocilla.  Born April 14, 1946 in Irwin county, Ocilla Georgia to the late Mrs. Malada McClary Baker and the late Mr. Jesse Baker.  Mrs. Pickett departed this life to be with the lord on Saturday April 25, 2020 at Life Care  health care in Fitzgerald Georgia.  Mrs. Baker is survived by Two sisters: Mrs. Jessie Mae Wilcox of Fitzgerald Georgia and Ms. Eunice Baker of Jackson Miss.  Two brothers: Mr. Samuel Baker of Ocilla Georgia and Mr. Emanuel Baker of Philadelphia Penn.  A special niece Mrs. Jessica Harris of Ocilla Georgia along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A private homegoing service for Mrs. Perita Pickett is planned for Saturday May 2, 2020. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to prayer for the Baker and Pickett family. 
 
 

Mrs. Hazel Wynn Jordan

Mr. Carey Middlebrooks Jr.

Born May 12,1947 in Ocilla, Irwin county Georgia, to the late Mr. Carey Middlebrooks Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Lue Prater Middlebrooks.  Mr. Middlebrooks departed this life on Tuesday April 7, 2020 at his home in Ocilla. 

Deacon Leroy Roberts

Leroy RobertsWith sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia, sadly announces the death of Deacon Leroy Roberts , 700 West 6th. street, Ocilla Georgia.  Born October 3, 1946, Deacon Roberts departed this life on Wednesday February 19, 2020 at Dorminy Medical center in Fitzgerald Georgia.   He is survived by his daughter Ms. Elaina Roberts of Boardman Ohio. Father Mr. Willie Wheeler. A loving friend (the mother of his children) Ms. Ann Matlock.  His brothers: Mr. Larry Wheeler, and Mr. Alfred (Mary) Roberts. Sister: Ms. Eleanor (Tootise) Roberts.  Grandchildren: Mi'Kel Harris and Eleya Johnson, special cousins: Lauretta Hadley Gibbs  and Richard (Evelyn)  Roberts along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends. A home going celebration  for Deacon Leroy Roberts is planned for Saturday March 7, 2020 at 12:00 noon from the Davis funeral home chapel, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla. with the Rev. Randy Shelly officiating.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery.   Deacon Roberts will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning 11:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Please continue to pray for the Roberts family.

Hattie WilcoxA few more years shall roe, a few more seasons come.  And we shall be with those that rest, asleep within the tomb.   Then O my lord prepare, my soul for that great day.  O wash me in thy precious blood, and take my sins away.  With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street Ocilla, Georgia, announces the death and home going celebration  for  Mrs. Hattie Bell Walker.  Born August 16, 1944 in Irwin county, Ocilla Georgia, to the late Mrs. Lucy Bell Wilcox and the late Mr. Jimmy Lee Wilcox.  Mrs. Walker departed this life on Thursday January 30, 2020 at Memorial Satilla Health care hospital in Waycross Georgia.  She is survived by her siblings:  Mrs. Gaynell  and Mr. Felton Hall of Atlanta Georgia, Mrs. Mary Daniels and Mrs. Dorothy Curmedy of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Doris Robinson and Mr. Moses and Mrs. Iris  Wilcox of Tampa Florida,  Ms. Linda Wilcox of Albany Georgia along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.A  Home going celebration for Mrs. Hattie Bell Walker is planned for Saturday February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Davis funeral home chapel in Ocilla Georgia with the Rev. David Wilcox officiating.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please join us as we lift the family up in prayer.
