Born May 12,1947 in Ocilla, Irwin county Georgia, to the late Mr. Carey Middlebrooks Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Lue Prater Middlebrooks. Mr. Middlebrooks departed this life on Tuesday April 7, 2020 at his home in Ocilla. He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Karen Hardy Middlebrooks of Ocilla. Children: Mr.William Carey Middlebrooks, Ms. Brett Middlebrooks, Jessica Tyson all of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Irene Baker of Fitzgerald Georgia. Sibling: Mr. Herman Middlebrooks of Mystic Georgia, Mrs. Willene (Mr. Randy) Dopson; Mrs. Catherine (Mr. Larry Sr.) Dopson all of Morrow Georgia; Mr. John (Mrs. Thomasina) Middlebrooks of Bonaire, Georgia; Mr. Thomas (Mrs. Breneda) Middlebrooks of Bowie Maryland; Mrs. Delois (Mr. Alan) Moffett of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Daisy (Mr. Tony Sr.) Dopson of McDonough Georgia, Miss Gloria (Mr. Jeffery) Middlebrooks of College Park, Georgia; and Ms. Lucile Middlebrooks of Ocilla Georgia. Sister-in-law; Mrs. Eveline Middlebrooks of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Several sister and brother in laws along with Seven Grandchildren, Three Great grandchildren, and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Graveside services Mr. Carey Middlebrooks Jr. will be held on Monday April 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocilla city cemetery on Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla Georgia with Rev. Nathan Bartell presiding. Mr. Middlebrooks will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Sunday afternoon 1:00 until 6:00.The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
