Mrs. Inetta Merritt Ross

Enter thy masters joy.  With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia 31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mrs. Inetta Merritt Ross of 309 Falcon road, Ocilla Georgia.  Born October 10, 1949 in Lewes Delaware, to the late Mr. John Clinton Merritt Sr. and the late Mrs. Rosetta Bryant Merritt.  Mrs.  Ross gained her heavenly wings to be with the lord at her home in Ocilla on Saturday July 17, 2021.  Mrs. Ross is survived by he husband of 56 years: Clarence Ross of Ocilla Georgia.  Their children: Mrs. Carolyn and Mr. Jerry Oliver of Douglas Georgia, Mr. Johnny Ross and Mr. Jonathan Ross both of Kansas City, Kansas and Mrs. Shemeka Arnold of Fitzgerald Georgia.  One Brother Mr. John Clinton Merritt.  Special aunts and uncles: Mrs. Ruth Gamble and Mrs. Louvenia White, Mr. Columbus and Mrs. Ernestine Bryant all of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Carrie and Mr. Thedois  Sneed and Mrs. Catherine Bormus all of Miami Florida, and Mrs. Carrie Bell Bryant of Douglas Georgia along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mrs. Inetta Merritt Ross is planned for Saturday July 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 Eat Valdosta Ave. Ocilla Georgia.  Apostol Eddie Sidney will deliver the eulogy  and committal.  Mrs. Ross will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home in Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please join us as we lift the Merritt, Ross and Bryant families up in prayer.

Pastor Lindsey departed his earthly home and gained his heavenly wings on Sunday July 4, 2021  at his home in Alapaha surrounded by his loving family.  Pastor Lindsey is survived by his wife: Mrs. Bedelia Kenny Lindsey.  Their children:  Mr. Rodrick (Rod) and Mrs Marilyn Lindsey of Chesapeake Va., Mrs. Teesha and Mr. Corey Davis of Alapaha Georgia, and Mrs. Katrina Ryan of Lake Park Georgia.  His Siblings:  Mrs. Mary Lanier of Atlanta Georgia, Mrs. Sharon Green of Alapaha Georgia, Dexter and Mrs. Latronia Lanier of Albany Georgia, Mr. Robert and Mrs. Dora Lanier of Akron Ohio, Mr. Patrick Lanier of Orlando  Florida,  Mms. Bernita Cason and ms. Bernice Johnson of Tampa Florida, Mrs. Dianne and Mr. Wayne Scott of Adel Georgia Mr. Tyron Newton (Deceased).  Grandchildren:  Zion Lindsey,  Ryan Lindsey, . Brock Davis, . Rodrick Lindsey Jr., MiKayla Lindsey, Karielle Lindsey, Victoria Lindsey Mitchel Ryan and Amber Ryan, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  A home going celebration for pastor Willie Frank Lindsey is planned for Saturday July 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the New Hope Church of God Apostolic Church, located at 15 South Moore Street  Alapaha Georgia , where pastor Rosia Knighton serves as pastor.  Interment will follow in the West Fletcher cemetery on Highway 82 West in Alapaha.  Pastor Lindsey will lie in state at the New Hope church of God Apostolic, Friday afternoon 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Lindsey family.

Father: Mr. Wonders Ramsey of Fitzgerald Georgia. Her siblings:  Mrs. Kimberley and Mr. Tony Westbrook of Fitzgerald Georgia, and Mrs. Regina and Mr. Steven Daniels of Alexandria Va. Aunt: Mrs. Bettie Darden of Ocilla, Uncles: Mr. Rufus Ellis and Mr. Randolph and Anne Kate Ellis all of Ocilla Georgia along with a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home going celebration for Ms. LaSanda Jean Ramsey is planned for Saturday July 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave.in Ocilla. Mr. Cockfield is survived by his parent; Mr. John and Mrs. Daisy Carter Cockfield of Osierfield Georgia and Ms. Victoria Ross of Ocilla and Mr. Daniel Lewis of Douglas Georgia.  Siblings: Mr. Grant Cockfield, Mr. Will Cockfield, Mr. Travis Cockfield,  Mrs. Tracy McClelland, Ms. Kalysha  Nacole Cockfield, Ms. Veronica Cockfield,  Mr. Daniel Davis,  Mr. Davione Cockfield, Ms. Monica Ross and Ms. Latoria Davis.  Grandparent: Mrs. Charlie Mae Candy and Mr. Daniel Carter, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Homegoing services for Mr. Davente Cockfield  are planned for Saturday July 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  His Pastor Rev. Al Keith Milton will deliver the Eulogy and committal. Mr. Cockfield will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:30 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Cockfield, Ross and Lewis families.

 

Mr. Louis Mays

Americus Georgia to the Late Mr. George Mays and the late Ms. Hattie Mae Williams.  Mr. Mays departed this life to join his heavenly host on Saturday June 19, 2021 at Glen Eagle Health care center in Abbeville Georgia.  Mr. Mays is survived by his wife Mrs. Mary Mays of Fitzgerald Georgia and his Niece Ms. Mary Brown of Abbeville Georgia along with a host of other relatives and friends.  Memorial services for Mr. Mays will be held on Friday July 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Abbeville city Auditorium in Abbeville Georgia.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all  arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Mays family.

His sibling:  Ms. Stephanie Williams, Ms. Deborah Washington, Ms. Gloria Martin, Ms. Paloma Cain, Ms. Angelich Goolsby, Mr. Johnny and Mrs. Branda Cain, Mr. Tracy and Mrs. Terrell Cain, Mr. Randy Morgan all of Ocilla Georgia.  Ms. Carlene Jones of Willacoochee  Georgia, Mr. Charlie Cain Jr. of Tifton Georgia, Mr. Joseph Cain of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Alice Cain of Rochester New York,  and Mr. Clarence Green of Boston Massachusetts.  Two grandchildren along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and  friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Robert (Bobby) Cain is  planned for Saturday June 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla City cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave.  Rev. Emanuel Ellison will deliver the eulogy.   Please pray for the Cain family as they prepare to celebrate the home going of their love one.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
