Deacon Howard Simpson Jr.

With sincere sympathy the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia 31774 , announces the death and home going celebration for Deacon Howard Simpson Jr.  Born February 3, 1940 in Ocilla Georgia to the late Ms. Nora Lee Lane and the late Mr. Howard Simpson Sr.  Deacon Simpson Departed this life on Thursday December 26, 2019 at his home in Newark New Jersey.  Deacon Simpson is survived by his sister: Minister Mary S. Hightower of Miami Garden Florida, and One brother Mr. Leroy Simpson of Tifton Georgia.  Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends, survives.
A homegoing celebration for Deacon Howard Simpson Jr. is planned for Monday January 6, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. from the Davis funeral home chapel, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia.  Rev. Marvin Smith Sr. will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery.  Deacon Simpson will lie in state at the Davis funeral home chapel on Monday morning 10:00 until the funeral hour.  Please join us as we lift the Simpson and Hightower family up in prayer.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Mrs. Jacquelyn Cave Smith

Jackie SmithWith sadness in our hearts the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak Street Ocilla Georgia announces the death of Mrs. Jacquelyn Cave Smith, of 512 North Lincoln street, Ocilla Georgia   31774.  Born December 8, 1963 in Miami Florida, to the late Mrs. Carolyn Parker Cave and the late Mr. Earnest Cave.  Mrs. Smith departed this life on Monday December 16, 2019 at the Navicent Health care center, in Macon Georgia.

Their children: Randy Brown and Tyrone Brown both of Birmingham Ala.  Mr. William Lewis of Atlanta Georgia. Siblings: Ms. Brenda Williams, Jacksonville Fla, Ms. Carol (John) Banks of Gainesville Fla. Mother in law: Mrs. Ida Johnson of Ocilla Ga.  Sister in law: Ms. Jennifer Johnson of Ocilla Ga.  also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, relatives and friends  Home going services for Mrs. Debra Johnson will be held on Saturday November 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from the Church of God By Faith in Starks Fla.  Interment will follow in the Oddfellow cemetery in Starks Fla.  Mrs. Johnson will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Thursday morning 11:00 until 6:00 P.M.  The family will receive friends at Greater Grace church on East 4th street in Ocilla where Rev. Calvin Ross serves as pastor  after viewing hour.The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of local arrangements.  Please continue to lift the family up in prayer.
