Mr. Willie Daniel Young

Willie Daniel YoungHow happy is every child of grace, that knows his sins are forgiven.  This earth I cry is not my home, I seek my home in heaven.  It is with heartfelt sympathy, that the staff of the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death and home going services for Mr. Willie Daniel Young of 612 /east 10th street, Ocilla Georgia.  Born November 4, 1949, in Ocilla Irwin County Georgia to the late Ms. Willie Mae Ross and the late Mr. Daniel Young.  Mr. Young received God's call from labor to reward on Friday November 10, 2023, at his home in Ocilla surrounded by his loving family.  Wille Daniel and survived by his loving and devoted wife: Mrs. Carolyn Wynn Young of Ocilla. Their children: Minister Kelvin and Mrs. Addie Young of Ocilla, Mr. Wilbert and Mrs. Bernitta Young of Ocilla, Mrs. Milissa and Mr. Shawn of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Siberia Young and Mr. Brandon Young both of Ocilla Georgia.  Siblings: Mrs. Sallie Mae Harris of Tifton Georgia, Ms. Evon Smith of Eastman Georgia, Minister Michael Smith of Eastman Georgia, Ms. Cleo Young of Gilford Florida and Mr. Kenneth Smith of Belle Glade   Florida. Eight grandchildren, and Six great grandchildren, along with a host of sister in laws, brother in laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home going services for Mr. Willie Daniel Young is planned for Saturday November 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from the New Bethel Baptist church, 401 East 7th street Ocilla, where Rev. Christopher R. Douglas serves as pastor.  Rev. Corey Wynn will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave, in Ocilla.  Mr. Young will lie in state at the Davis funeral home, Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.   The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Young and Wynn families.

Markevious JenkinsFather we stretch our hands to thee, no other help we know.  If you withdraw yourself from us, we have nowhere to go.  With sadness in our heart, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for Mr. Markevious Demond Jenkins, of 105 East Satilla Street, Fitzgerald Georgia, 31750.  Born August 23, 1991, in Fitzgerald, Ben Hill County Georgia to Ms. Cassandra Jenkins and Mr. Jerriance Williams.  Mr. Jenkins received his eternal call on Sunday October 1, 2023, in Fitzgerald Georgia.  Markevious leaves to cherish his memories is mother: Ms. Cassandra Jenkins of Fitzgerald Georgia, Father: Mr. Jerrine Williams of Douglas Georgia. Grandparents: Ms. Janice Jenkins of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Opal Baker of Fitzgerald Georgia, and Mr. Jerry Baker of Miami Florida.  Children: Markevious Jenkins Jr., of Fitzgerald Georgia, Khari Jenkins of Ocilla Georgia, and Deasia Ross of Fitzgerald Georgia. Siblings: Ms. Gabrielle Carter, Ms. Jasmine Hendricks, Ms. Chantiaa Hill, Mr. Jerraince Jenkins, Mr. Antanio Perry, and Mr. Jerremier Hodge, along with a host of Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Home goings celebrations for Mr. Markevious Jenkins is planned for Saturday October 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Friendship Baptist church 137 Moss Lane, Osierfield Georgia. Rev. Donnie Smith will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Osierfield community cemetery.  Mr. Jenkins will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Jenkins family.

O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pains we bear, all because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer.  Have we tryers and temptation, is there trouble anywhere, we should never be discouraged, take it to the lord in prayer, and so on the hymn goes.  With sadness in our heart, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia 31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mother Macie Love Parker Devine of 601 North Fieldstone Drive, Ocilla Georgia.  Born February 7, 1935 in Osierfield, Irwin county Georgia,  to the late Mrs. Elizabeth Simpson Parker and the late Mr. Richard Parker Sr.  Mother Devine received God's call from labor to reward on Saturday morning August 12, 2023, surround by her loving family.  She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Mrs. Helen Parker Colbert, Savannah Georgia, Mrs. Janice Devine Jenkins, Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Amelia  (Devine) and Pastor Donnie Smith, Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Jerry Devine, Fitzgerald Georgia, Mrs. Katherine Devine Lewis, Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Darryon and Mrs. Lakeysha Devine, Fitzgerald Georgia and Mr. Dexter and Mrs. Neshika Devine, Augusta Georgia. Two sisters: Mrs. Daisy Brown, Charlotte North Coralina, and Mrs. Adel Porter, Ocilla Georgia, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Mother Macie Love Parker Devine is planned for Saturday August 19, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from the Friendship Missionary Baptist church, 127 Moss Lane Osierfield Georgia where Rev. E. Terrel Carter serves as pastor.  Her son-in-law, Pastor Donnie Smith will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Osierfield community cemetery, Osierfield Georgia.  Mother Devine will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral Home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Parker and Devine families.

There's a sweet, sweet sprit in this place, and I know that it's the spirit of the lord. There's a sweet expression, on each face, and I know that it's the presence of the lord.  Sweet holy spirit, sweet heavenly dove, stay right here with us, shadow us with your love.  And for these blessing, we lift our hearts with praise: without a doubt we'll know that we have been revived, when we shall leave this place.

Lay down thou weary one lay down, thy head upon my breast.  I heard the voice of Jesus say, behold I freely give.  The living water, thirsty one, stoop down, drink and live.  I came to Jesus as I was, weary, wounded, and sad.  I found in him a resting place, and he has made me glad.

It is with sincere sympathy, that the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31771, humbly announce the death and homegoing celebration for Ms. Dianne Chatfield, of 620 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Ashburn Georgia   31714.  Born August 8, 1958, in Ashburn Georgia to the late Mr. James and Mrs. China Chatfield in Ashburn Georgia.  Ms. Dianne received God's call from labor to reward peacefully on Thursday August 3, 2023, at Emory university hospital in Atlanta Georgia.  Ms. Chatfield leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Ms. Bernadette Chatfield of Ashburn Georgia, Mrs. Miya and Mr. John Hall of Cordele Georgia, Ms. Taquetta Chatfield of Ashburn Georgia and Mr. Jamal and Mrs. Tanya Chatfield of Sylvester Georgia.  Her mother: Mrs. China Chatfield of Ashburn Georgia.  Sibling:  Ms. Linda Gamble of Ashburn Georgia, Mr. Keith Chatfield of Ashburn Georgia, Mrs. Aretha and Mr. Clay Alfred, of Columbus Georgia, Ms. Kimberly Chatfield, of Ashburn Georgia, and Mr. Billy Ray and Mrs. Debra Hall of Rebacca Georgia, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Ms. Dianne Chatfield is planned for Saturday August 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the New providence Missionary Baptist church 531 West Washington street, Ashburn Georgia where Rev. Marvin Brown serves as pastor.  Rev.
