Born October 28,1936 in Coffee County. Mr. Simpson received God's call to his eternal home 0n Saturday April 6, 2024, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas Georgia, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife: Mrs. Hurley Mae Simpson of Douglas Georgia. Their children: Ms. Shirley Simpson of Valdosta Georgia, Mrs. Jennifer Abdul Shahild of Greenville South Coralina, Mr. Earl Davis San Antonia Texas, Mr. Andre (Janice) Davis of Douglas Georgia, Mr. Cedric Davis of Douglas Georgia, Mr. Marcus (Devonia) Davis of Baltimore Maryland, Mr. Rolland (Clara) Lott of Douglas Georgia, Ms. Rosland Holden of Douglas Georgia, Mr. Willis (Debra) Lott of Ocilla Georgia and Mrs. Andrea (Kelvin) Johnson of Douglas. His sisters: Mrs. Odessa Mizell and Mrs. Eloise Johnson along with a special care giver, Ms. Carrie Teel and numerous grands and Great grandchildren and a host of sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mr. Leonard Daniel Simpson Jr. is planned for Saturday April 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Little Zion Missionary Baptist church of Broxton Georgia, where Rev. Willie C. Mobley serves as pastor and will deliver the eulogy and committal. Interment will follow in the Broxton city cemetery in Broxton Georgia. Mr. Simpson will lie in state at the Little Zion Baptist church in Broxton, on Friday afternoon 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
