Betty PresleyWhat a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief to bear.  What a privilege it is to carry, everything to God in prayer.  With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Ms. Betty Dyous Presley.  Born July 19, 1963, in Ocilla Georgia to the late Mrs. Mae Frank Walker Dyous and the late Mr. George Dyous Sr.  Ms. Presley entered into eternal rest on Monday January 8, 2024, at Memorial hospital in Savannah Georgia.  She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters:  Ms. April Thomas, Ms. Christy Dyous both of Ocilla Georgia and Ms. Tiffany Harris of Warner Robins Georgia.  Siblings: Ms. Carrie Mae Dyous of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mrs. Annnie Kate and Mr. Randolph Ellis, Mrs. Jeanette Dyous of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Gloria Freeman, Ms. Diane Manning of Douglas Georgia, Mrs. Brenda and Pastor Donnell Robinson of Statesboro Georgia, Mr. George Dyous Jr. of Albany Georgia, and Mr. Murray Lee Dyous of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Several grandchildren along with a host on nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Ms. Betty Presley is planned for Sunday January 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Empowerment Temple Church of God By Faith 601 North Oak Street in Ocilla, Where Rev. Kenneth Moore served as pastor and will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Ms. Presley will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Saturday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Dyous and Presley families.

arthur MitchellFather we stretch our hands to thee, no other help we know.  If you with draw yourself from us, we have nowhere to go.  With heartfelt sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for Mr. Arthur Lee Mitchell Sr.  Born May 20, 1950, in Donaldsonville Georgia, to the late Mrs. Karene Williams and the late Mr. Daniel Mitchell Sr.  Mr. Mitchell received God's call to his enteral home on Saturday January 6, 2024, at Piedmont Health Care in Fayetteville Georgia, surrounded by his loving family.  He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 46 years: Mrs. Eunice Anderson Mitchell.  Sons and daughter in laws: Mr. Arthur Jr. and Mrs. Oyin, Mr. Darien and Mrs. Letrice, and Mr. Sedrick and Mrs. Demetria. Two brothers and sister in law: Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Alice, Mr. Daniel Jr. Five sisters and brother-in-law: Ms. Angelyn, Ms. Rhondolyn, Ms. Amelia, Mrs. Leroilyn and Mr. Andrew, and Ms. Sharolyn.  Five grandchildren along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins' relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Arthur Mitchell Sr. is planned for Saturday January 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove 1st. Baptist church, 215 Est. 7th. street Ocilla Georgia, where Rev. James Curtis serves as pastor.  Rev. Melvin Harper will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mr. Mitchell will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements. Lillie Mae DavisThere's a sweet, sweet sprit in this place, and I know that it's the spirit of the lord.  With sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death of Mrs. Lillie Mae Davis, of 616 Park Ave. North, Tifton Georgia.  Born December 27, 1942, in Ocilla Georgia to the late Mrs. Rosa Harris and the late Mr. Clemon Harris.  Mrs. Davis moved to her eternal home on Sunday January 6, 2024, at her home in Tifton Georgia.  Mrs. Davis leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter: Mrs. Puerisha Mitchell of Tifton Georgia.  Sisters: Mrs. Louvenia and Mr. Alfonso Edwards of Ocilla Georgia and Mrs. Naomi Haithcock of Tifton Georgia, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home going services for Mrs. Lillie Mae Davis will be held on Friday January 19th, 2024, from the Ocilla city cemetery in Ocilla.  Mrs. Davis will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Thursday afternoon, 3:00 until 6:00, p.m. and Friday 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal on South Park Street in Tifton Georgia.  Eulogy and committal will follow at 2:15 p.m. at the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Pastor Veronica C. Willie Mae HollowayWhat a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear.  What a privilege it is to carry, everything to God in prayer.  Have we trials and temptations, is there trouble anywhere.  Jesus knows our every weakness, take it to the lord in prayer.  It is with sincere sympathy, that the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebration for sister Williemae Holloway.  Born November 28, 1941, in Rochelle Wilcox County Georgia, to the late Mrs. Maeola Hunt Thomas and the late Mr. Robert Thomas Sr.  Sister Holloway received God's call from labor to reward, on Monday January 1, 2024, at The Reserve at Peachtree city in Peachtree City Georgia.  Mother Holloway leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Eldridge, Charles Jr. James, and Stepdaughter, Helen Jeanette Scott.  Her love extended to their spouses: John, Lolita, Monica, and John, her sister, Verdel Butts.  10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for sister Williemae Holloway is planned for Saturday January 13, 2024, at 11:00 from the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 931 Railroad Ave. Rochelle Georgia, where Rev. Travis Johnson serves as pastor.  Rev. Treasa PaulkThere's a sweet, sweet sprit, in this place, and I know that it's the sprit, of the lord.  There's a sweet expression on each face, and I know that it's the presence of the lord.  Sweet holy spirit, sweet heavenly dove, stay right here with us, shadow us with your love.  And with each blessing, we'll lift our voice in praise, without a doubt we know, that we have been revived, when we shall leave this place.  It is with sincere sympathy, that the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death of Mrs. Teretha Lott Paulk of Wray Georgia.  Born May 24, 1947, in Ocilla Irwin County Georgia to the late Mrs. Josephine Jackson Lott and the late Mr. Willie B. Lott.  Mrs. Paulk received God's call to her eternal home on Wednesday December 27, 2023, at Coffee Regional Medical center in Douglas Georgia surrounded by her loving family.  She is survived by her husband: Mr. George Paulk Sr. of Wray Georgia.  Her children:  Mr. Teco Lott, Dr. Adrian Lott, Mr. Shoan Lott, Mr. George Paulk Jr., Mrs. Capucine Walker, Mr. James Paulk, and Mr. Nicky Paulk.  Her siblings: Ms. Janice Deloise Lott and Ms. Gerthie Ann Lott Mack along with a host of grandchildren, brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. 

Home goings services for Mrs. Teretha Lott Paulk is planned for Saturday January 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. from the Midway Missionary Baptist Church, highway 32 East, Holt Community, in Irwin County, Ocilla Georgia. The pastor Rev. Al Keith Milton will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Paulk cemetery, Ambrose Georgia. The family dinner will be served at the Midway Baptist church social hall immediately after the comital service.  Mrs. Paulk will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 7:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements. The family will receive friends at their home in Wray Georgia on starting on Wednesday afternoon.  Please continue to pray for the Lott and Paulk families.

Her children: Mrs.Lindsey Bishop,Ms. Emily M. Ray, Ms. Stephanie Thomas,and Mr. Gerald Thomas II. Her parents: Mrs. Deborah and Mr. Steve Arnold. Her siblings: Ms. Sonia Griffith, Mrs. Yolanda Griffith Terry and Mrs. Tonia Griffith Carver,along with a host of brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A home going celebration for Mrs. Donna Shane Griffith Thomas is planned for Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. from the Midway Missionary Baptist Church, Highway 32 East in the Holt Community of Irwin County, where Rev. Al Keith Milton serves as pastor. Rev. Charles A. Anderson Sr. will deliver the eulogy and committal. Interment will follow in the Paulk Cemetery in Irwin County. Mrs. Thomas will lie in state at the Davis Funeral Home in Ocilla,Thursday morning 11:00 until 7:00 p.m. The Davis Funeral Home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
