What a privilege it is to carry, everything to God in prayer.  With sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street in Ocilla Georgia pause to announce the death and homegoing celebration for Mrs. Darletha Middlebrooks Merritt. of 516 Fieldstone Drive Ocilla Georgia.   Born December 9, 1942 in Ocilla Georgia to the late Gilbert Middlebrooks and the late Blanche Wilcox Middlebrooks.  Mrs. Merritt received the call from God to enter into the joy of the lord on Saturday January 16, 2021 at the   Tift Regional medical center in Tifton Georgia.  She is survived by her children:  Mrs. Bobbie and Mr. Calvin Anderson of Douglasville Georgia, Mrs. Annie and Mr. Marion Cooper of Brunswick Georgia, Mr. Cleo and Mrs. Dwanda DeBerry of Jacksonville Florida, Mr. Jeffery and Mrs. LaShone DeBerry of Jacksonville Florida,  Ms. Beverly Panler of Douglasville Georgia, Mr. Dewayne and Mrs. Kisa Middlebrooks of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Angela DeBerry of Tifton Georgia, Ms. Latosha DeBerry of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Kelvin and Mrs. Brittney Merritt of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Tawanne and Mr. Montre Askew of Covington Georgia, Ms. Vivian Merritt of Ocilla Georgia and Ms. Yaliveeya Deberry of Ocilla Georgia.  Siblings: Ms. Willie Mae Anderson of Hattiesburg Miss., Mr. Joe Middlebrooks of San Francisco Calif., Mrs. Glenda and Mr. Willie Fred Walker of Ocilla Georgia,  Ms. Evelyn Hams of Hattiesburg Miss. along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mrs. Darletha Merritt is planned for Saturday January 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. where her pastor Rev. James C. Curtis will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mrs. Merritt will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Middlebrooks and Merritt families.

Bobby MerrittI heard the voice of Jesus say, come unto me and rest. Lie down thy wearied one lie down, thy head upon by breast.  I came to Jesus as I was, wearied, wounded and sad.  I found in him a resting place, and he has made me glad.  I heard the voice of Jesus say, behold I freely give, thy living water, thirsty one, stoop down, drink and live.  I came to Jesus and I drink, from that life giving stream.  My thirst was quenched, my soul revived, and now I live in him.  With heart felt sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death of Mr. Bobby Merritt of 116 South Oak street, Ocilla Georgia.  Mr. Merritt received God's call from labor to reward on Friday January 1, 2021 at Tift regional medical center in Tifton Georgia.  Mr. Merritt is survived by his wife of 38 years:  Mrs. Jacqueline Merritt of Ocilla Georgia.   Children: Mr. Marcus King, Mr. Demetrice King of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mrs. Barbara (Cookie) and Mr. Anthony Wells of Lithonia Georgia, Mr. Bobby and Mrs. Christie Merritt Jr. of Jacksonville Georgia, Mr. Horace Young of Ocilla Georgia.  One brother:  Mr. Harold and Mrs. Mary Merritt of Ocilla Georgia.  Sister and brothers:  Mrs. Wanda and Mr. Keith Davis of Ambrose Georgia, Mr. Vincent and Mrs. Sadie Gaskins of Albany Georgia.  Special niece: Mrs. Keasher and Mr. Bernard Buchanan of Warner Robins Georgia.  Godson: Mr. Skylar Burgess of Ocilla Georgia,  along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Homegoing services for Mr. Bobby Merritt are planned for Saturday January 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. Ocilla.  Bishop Richard R. It's another child of God gone home.  With sadness in our heart, the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia pause to announce the death and home going celebration for mother Novella Miller 107 West. 7th street, of Ocilla.  Born August 16, 1937 to the late Mr. Claude Miller and the late  Mrs. Parrie Lee Marshall Miller.  Mrs. Miller departed the life to be with the lord at her home in Ocilla on Monday December 14, 2020.  Mrs. Miller is survived by her children:  Mrs. Gwendolyn Boone  of Leland North Carolina, Mrs. Willie Vernell and Mr. Lester Smith Jr. of Villa Rica Georgia, Mr. John Willie and Mrs. Mary Miller of Albany Georgia, Mrs. Betty and Mr. Bobby Denson of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. Terry Miller of Pooler Georgia, Mrs. Debra and Mr. Melvin Harper of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Cynthia McElhaney of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Regional Miller of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Trent Miller of Fitzgerald Georgia, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A home going service for Mother Novella Miller is planned for Saturday December 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery 601 North Oak in Ocilla.  Her grandson pastor Melvin D. Harper III will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mother Miller will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla where she served faithfully for over Sixty on Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements. And God shall wipe away all tears from your eyes.  With sincere sympathy the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street Ocilla, Georgia pause to announce the death of Ms. Jannelle Goolsby of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Born December 8, 1982 in Ocilla Georgia to the late Mrs. Joyce Nell Hall Goolsby and Mr. Jerome Goolsby.  Ms. Goolsby enter into eternal rest on Thursday December 17,2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center, in Tifton Georgia.  She is survived by her daughter: Ms. Joycelyn Goolsby of Brunswick Georgia.  Father: Mr. Jerome Goolsby of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Grandmother: Mrs. Annie Mae Hall of Ocilla Georgia.  Uncles Mr. Stanley Hall of Tifton Georgia, Mr. Albert Hall of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Jimmy Hall of Miami Florida, Mr. Bobby Hall of Fitzgerald Georgia, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Ms. Jannelle Goolsby is planned for Sunday December 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. Ocilla.  Her pastor Rev. Douglas Taylor will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Ms. Goolsby will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Saturday Morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Sunday morning 11:00 until 12:30.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Hall and Goolsby families.
