Norberg. Mrs. Battle departed this life on Friday June 10, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton Georgia. She is survived by he husband: Mr. John Henry Battle Jr. of Ocilla Georgia.  Their children: Gianna of Albany Georgia, Christian, Aaron, Jaden, and Trenity all of Ocilla Georgia.  Stepmother: Ms. Jean Taylor of Shreveport, Louisiana: one brother Minister Michael and Mrs. Patsy Taylor of Atlanta, Texas.  Three sister in laws: Mrs. Mary Battle, Mrs. Marie and Mr. Ronald Wynn, Ms. Rejoice Battle all of Ocilla Georgia, Five brother in laws: Mr. Joe B. and Mrs. Teresa Battle Sr. of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Sammie Battle of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Eddie Battle of Albany Georgia, Mr. Raymond and Mrs. Sherrelle Battle of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. Willie and Mrs. Gloria Battle of Fitzgerald Georgia along with a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mrs. Jill Michelle Taylor Battle is planned for Saturday June 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla City cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Minister Joe Battle Jr. will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mrs. Battle will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home in Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Mrs. Claudie Mae Anderson Banks

She is survived by her children:  Mr. Claude and Mrs. Osie Banks of Conyers Georgia, Ms. Shirley Banks of Miami Florida, Mrs. Dianne and Mr. David Paschal of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Her Siblings: Ms. Marcia Barthell of Miami Florida, Mr. Kenneth Anderson of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mrs. Charlotte and Mr. Otis Brooklyn of Alapaha Georgia,  Ms. Dorothy Bryant of Ocilla Georgia, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home going celebrations for Mrs. Claudie Mae Banks is planned for Saturday June 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Mathis Chapel Baptist church Brushy Creek church Road in Ocilla.  Rev. Mathew Baker will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mrs. Banks will lie in state on Friday Morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 9:00 until 11:00 a.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Mrs. Mavis Moss Miller

Enter thy master's joy.  A voice at midnight came, she started up to here.  A mortal arrow pearced her frame, she fell bur felt no fear.  With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for Mrs. Mavis Moss Miller of 208 West Hudson Street, Ocilla Georgia.    Born June 4, 1953 in Osierfield Georgia, to the late Mrs. Ruthie Mae Stepherson Moss and the late Mr. Jimmie Lee Moss.  Mrs. Miller received her heavenly wings and went home to celebrate her birthday with the lord on Saturday June 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  She is survived by her children: Mrs. Michell and Mr. Willie Ballard of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. LaTravia and Mrs. Shenika Miller of Ocilla Georgia, and Mrs. Samantha and Mr. Terrence Fields of Albany Georgia.  Her siblings: Mr. Aldene and Mrs. Nella Tyson of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Wanda Faye and Rev. James Sams of St. Augustine Florida, and Mr. Morris and Mrs. Charlene Moss of Fitzgerald Georgia.  A grandson that she raised as her own: Mr. Chad Miller of Ocilla Georgia, along with a host of other grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  Home going services for Mrs. Mavis Moss Miller is planned for Sunday  June 12, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. from the Friendship Missionary Baptist church, Osierfield Georgia where Moderator Standford L. Anderson  will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Osierfield community cemetery, Osierfield Georgia.  Mrs. Miller will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Saturday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Sunday Morning 10:00 until 12:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Robert Thomas

Robert ThomasWith sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for Mr. Robert Thomas.  Born October 23, 1929, to the late Ms. Flora Mae Merritt and the late Mr. Willie Harper.  Mr. Thomas received his heavenly wings on May 24, 2022, at Puritt Health Care center in Ocilla Georgia.  Mr. Thomas is survived by his children:  Mr. Melvin and Mrs. Debra Harper of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Genava Bouyer of Jacksonville Florida, and Mr. Anthony Harper of Ocilla Georgia. One sister: Mrs. Losa Mae Spann of Miami Florida.  Several grandchildren, Great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Robert Thomas is planned for Saturday May 28, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. from the Rehoboth fellowship church, 601 East Pine Street, in Ocilla where pastor Melvin D. Harper serves as pastor and will deliver the eulogy.  Mr. Thomas will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:00 until 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla. Mrs. Moffett received God's call from labor to reward on Thursday May 19, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband: Mr. Thomas James Moffett Jr. of Fitzgerald Georgia. Their children: Mrs. Sylinda and Mr. Alex Cummings of Dansbury Connecticut, Mr. Jimmie and Mrs. Diane Moffett of New Milford Connecticut, Mr. Michael and Mrs. Helina Moffett of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ms. Pamela Moffett of Fitzgerald Georgia, and Mr. Thomas Moffett Burroughs of New Haven Connecticut. Her siblings: Mrs. Mary Lee Stepherson Moss of Detroit Michigan, and Mr. William J. (Tom) Stepherson of Columbus Ohio, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mrs. Carrie Bell Stepherson Moffett is planned for Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 137 Moss Lane in Osierfield Georgia. Rev. Douglas Taylor will deliver the eulogy and committal. Mrs. Moffett will lie in state on Friday morning May 27, 2022, 10:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla. The family will receive friends at the Davis funeral home Friday evening 6:00 until 7:00. Interment will follow in the Osierfield community cemetery.
