Deacon Mathew Moss

Servant of God well done, rest from thy love employ.  The battle is fought, the victory is won, enter thy master's joy.  A voice at midnight came, he started up to hear, a mortal arrow, pierced his frame, he fell but felt no fear.  It is with sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street Ocilla Georgia, pause to announce the death of Deacon Mathew Moss of Ocilla Georgia.  Born Friday January 2, 1931, Deacon Moss receiver his master's call to his heavenly home on Saturday August 2, 2025, at Woodland Ridge care center in Smyrna Georgia.  He leaves to cherish his memories his children:  Denise Husband and her husband Lloyd, Cynthia Small and Patrice Moss. One sister: Gladys Smith and One brother: Sampson Moss along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Deacon Mathew Moss is planned for Saturday August 16th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Union Temple Holiness Church at 602 North Main Street, Fitzgerald Georgia   31750, where Bishop Waren Manley serves as pastor and will deliver the eulogy.   Interment will follow in the Evergreen cemetery 279 Benjamin Hill Drive, Fitzgerald Georgia. Church viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  Deacon Moss will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning August 15th, from 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements for Deacon Mathew Moss.
