He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 46 years: Mrs. Eunice Anderson Mitchell. Sons and daughter in laws: Mr. Arthur Jr. and Mrs. Oyin, Mr. Darien and Mrs. Letrice, and Mr. Sedrick and Mrs. Demetria. Two brothers and sister in law: Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Alice, Mr. Daniel Jr. Five sisters and brother-in-law: Ms. Angelyn, Ms. Rhondolyn, Ms. Amelia, Mrs. Leroilyn and Mr. Andrew, and Ms. Sharolyn. Five grandchildren along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins' relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mr. Arthur Mitchell Sr. is planned for Saturday January 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove 1st. Baptist church, 215 Est. 7th. street Ocilla Georgia, where Rev. James Curtis serves as pastor. Rev. Melvin Harper will deliver the eulogy and committal. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla. Mr. Mitchell will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
