James LampkinWith sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia  31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mr. James Elliott Lampkin age 39, of 1600 Whispering Pine Road, Albany Georgia.  Born March 23, 1981 in Tifton Georgia to the late Ms. Daisy Mae Merritt Lampkin and the late Mr. Fred Thomas.  Mr. Lampkin received God's call from labor to reward on Sunday March 21, 2021 at Phoebe memorial hospital, in Albany Georgia surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Merritt is survived by his wife: Mrs. Travia English Lampkin of Albany, Georgia.  Tree sons:  Mr. Travis D. Lampkin, Mr. Tyler D. Lampkin, and Mr. James E. Lampkin II, all of Albany Georgia.  Siblings:  Mrs. Beverly Fuller of Ty Ty Georgia, Ms. Velvet Merritt of Tampa Florida, Mr. LeVance and Mrs. Cindy Merritt of Albany Georgia, Mr. John and Mrs. Valentina Lampkin Jr. of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Monique Lampkin of Ocilla Georgia, Pastor Donna and Mr. Frank Prather of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Dorminick Lampkin of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mrs. Katie and Mr. Rufus Curtis of Douglas Georgia, and Mr. Carlton Thomas Sr. of Preston Georgia.  Mother in law: Mrs. Debra Carlisie of Albany Georgia, sisters in laws:  Mrs. Teneeshia and Mr. Robert Smith of Jacksonville Florida, and Ms. Maeletha Robinson of Lithonia Georgia, along with a host of other in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. 

A home going celebration for Mr. James Elliott Lampkin, is planned for Saturday March 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  His sister, pastor Donna Prather, will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mr. Lampkin will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning, 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home in Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Lampkin, English, and Merritt families.
