Warnell JohnsonThe Day is passed and gone, the evening shades appear.  O may we all remember well, the day that death draws near.  We lay our garments by, upon our beds to rest.  So death shall soon disrobe us all, of what we have possessed.  Lord keep us safe this night, secure  from all our fears.  May angels guard us while we sleep till morning light appear.  With sincere sympathy the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak St., Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Deacon Warnell Johnson Sr. of 912 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia.  Born January 16, 1939 in Ocilla Irwin county Georgia to the late Mr. Aron Sr.,  Mrs. Annie Edwards and Mrs. Ethel Johnson.  Deacon Johnson is survived by his children:  Mr. Warnell Jr. and Mrs. Charlotte Johnson of Lithonia Georgia, Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Stephanie Johnson of Savannah Georgia, Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Maria Johnson of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Frederick and Mrs. Alisa Johnson of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Vickie Johnson of Vienna Georgia, Ms. Angela Johnson of Waycross Georgia,  Mr. Steve and Mrs. Kimberly Johnson of Smith Station, Alabama.  Ms. Angela Blue of Albany Georgia, Mrs. Kimberly and Mr. Ronnie Bussey of Douglas Georgia, Ms. Frances Jackson of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Velma Fuller of Fitzgerald Georgia,  Siblings: Mr. Robert and Mrs. Deborah Johnson of Eastman Georgia, Mrs. Verlene and Mr. James Acree of Nashville Georgia, Ms. Ethel Grace Hall of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Alfred and Mrs. Virginia Edwards of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Alvin Edwards of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Mary Bright of Jersey City New Jersey, Mrs. Yvonne Riley of Irvington New Jersey, Ms. Rudine Edwards of Bayonne New Jersey, a special brother Mr. Selvin Daniels of Tallahassee Florida, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A home going celebration  for Deacon Warnell Johnson Sr. is planned for Saturday February 20, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery located at 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  His pastor Rev. Christopher R. Douglas will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Deacon Johnson will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Johnson family.
