Ms. Edna Pettiford

There is a name I love to hear, is sound so sweet to me, it sounds like music in my ear.  The sweetest name on earth.  Oh how I love Jesus, because he first loved me:   With sincere sympathy the Davis funeral home 301 North oak street, Ocilla Georgia announces the death and homegoing celebration for Ms. Edna Pettiford of Tifton Georgia.  Born December 7, 1934 to the late Ms. Callie Evelyn Hugh and the late Mr. Charles Henry Pettiford, in Tifton Georgia. She departed this Life April 13, 2019, at Pruitt health care in Ashburn Georgia.   Ms. Pettiford is survived by children and their spouses;  Mr. Theodora and Brenda Pettiford of Tifton Georgia, Ms. Margaret Mott of Tifton Georgia, Mrs. Oradell and Anthony Holliday of Albany Georgia.  8 Grandchildren, 10 Great grandchildren.  Siblings:  Mr. Hubert and Amy Pettiford of Boston Mass., Mr. Charles Pettiford of Ty Ty Georgia, Mr. Eugene and Sherese Pettiford of Albany Georgia, and Mrs. Barbara and Roster Casey of Tifton Georgia.  Also a host nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration for Ms. Edna Pettiford is planned for Saturday April 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Mt. Zion Baptist church on South Park street , Tifton Georgia where the Rev. Dr. William Harvey serves as pastor, and will bring the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Oakridge cemetery in Tifton.  Viewing for Ms. Pettiford will be held on Friday at the Mt. Zion Baptist church from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
