Marvin GeorgeWhat a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and griefs to bear, what a privilege it is to carry, everything to God in prayer.  With sadness in our hearts the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia announces the death and home going celebration for Mr. Marvin Eugene George.  Born January 8, 1964, Mr. George entered into eternal rest at his home in Ocilla Georgia on March 13, 2019.  Mr. George is survived by his mother: Ms. Luviona George of Ocilla Georgia, sisters: Mrs. Johnnie Mae Brockington of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Betty George of Albany Georgia, and Ms. Jerlene Ewing of Ocilla Georgia.  One brother Mr. Gerald  (Mateka) George of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Brother in law Mr. Michael Wilcox of Willacoochee Georgia.  Aunts: Ms. Roxie Ross Davis, Ms. Ann White, Ms. Ida George, Ms. Catherine O'Neal, Ms. Mary O'Neal, all of Ocilla Georgia.  Uncles Mr. Roosevelt (Madelene) George, Mr. Jimmy George, Mr. Benjamin Buster White all of Ocilla Georgia.  Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives  and friends.  
A home going celebration for Mr. Marvin Eugene George, is planned for Saturday March 23, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove 1st. Baptist church 217 East 7th. street Ocilla Georgia, where the Rev. James C. Curtis serves as pastor.  Rev. Dr. Stanford L. Anderson will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery.  Mr. George will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 7:00 p.m. at and the church on Saturday 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.  Please continue to lift the family up in prayer. The Davis funeral home has charge of arrangements.
