Mr. Carlos Demond McCray

CarlosMcCray2With sadness in our hearts the Davis funeral home of Ocilla Georgia announces the death and home going celebration for Mr. Carlos Demond McCray of Ocilla Georgia.  Born August 27, 1977 to Ms. Sandra McCray,Carlos was placed in the care of Mrs. Willie Mae Johnson who raised him as her own.  At an early age he was baptized by Rev. Kenneth R. Glover and became a member of the Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church.  He attended the Irwin county school system where he graduated the special needs program on June 9, 1995.  Carlos leaves to cherish his memories, his mothers:  Mrs. Willie Mae Johnson and Ms. Sandra McCray of Ocilla Georgia, brother: Mr. Michael McCray of Newnan Georgia; sisters: Ms. Chris Johnson of Macon Georgia, Ms. Vivian Jackson and Ms. Benard Simpson of Panama City Florida, Ms. Sylvia Boston of Newnan Georgia and Ms. Michele Wilcox of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Also a hos of aunts, uncles, cousins relatives and friends.

A home going celebration for Mr. Carlos Demond McCray is planed for Friday June 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church, 215 East 7th. Street Ocilla, where the  pastor Rev. James C. Curtis will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery.  Mr. McCray will lie in state at the Davis funeral home Ocilla, Thursday morning 10:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Friday morning 10:00 until 11:30 a.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
