Ms. Dorener Burden Richardson

Dorener RichardsonWe pause to pay tribute to our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Ms. Dorener Burden Richardson. Born December 20, 1932 in Barbour county, Alabama to the late Ms. Irene Scott Burden and the late Mr. John Burden.

A well known and respected person in Ocilla and the surrounding area, Ms. Richardson attended the Enpowerment Temple church of God by faith in Ocilla Georgia under the leadership of pastor Kenneth Moore until her health failed.

Ms. Richardson was married to Mr. David Richardson who preceded her in death along with One daughter, One granddaughter and Seven brothers.

On Sunday September 3, 2017, God called her home from labor to reward, at the Fitzgerald Life Care Center, in Fitzgerald Georgia.

She leaves to cherish her memories Eight children: Mr. Carl W. Richardson (Betty) of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. David R. (Vickie) Richardson, Mr. Archie (Joann) Richardson, Ms. Reathra M. Richardson (Carl) all of Fitzgerald Georgia. Mr. Danny (Deborah) Richardson of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Jermaine Richardson (Scott) of Fort Worth Texas, Ms. Shirmine (Michael) Fries and Ms. Sadie Ross of Fitzgerald Georgia. Two sister-in-laws: Mrs. Ida Lee Paulk and Mrs. Lucille Burden. also a host of Grandchildren, neices, nephews, and friends.

Home going clebration for Mrs. Dorener Burden Richardson will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. form the Enpowerment Temple Church of God By Faith 601 North Oak Street in Ocilla Georgia with the pastor Elder Kenneth Moore officiating, Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery. Ms. Richardson will lie in state from Friday morning 10:00 until Friday evening 7:00 at the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak Street in Ocilla, and Saturday morning at the church 10:00 until the funeral hour. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
