Margie ThrowerMrs. Margie Ann Wilcox Thrower was born July 1, 1951, in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Maxine Campbell Newsome And the late Mr. Lucious Gamble Mrs. Thrower was a member of the Rehoboth Fellowship church where the Rev. Melvin D. Harper is pastor. She was educated in the Irwin county school system and was employed by the Irwin county hospital for many years until her health failed.

Mrs. Thrower leaves to cherish her memories Two daughters: Ms. Trina Thrower of Charlotte, NC and Mrs. Tara (Dennis) Crook of Fitzgerald Georgia. One son: Mr. Patrick Thrower of Ocilla Georgia. Two grandsons: Mr. Marques Thrower and Mr. Dennis (DJ) Crook of Fitzgerald, Georgia. One daughter Ms. Sonya Thrower preceded her in death. Four sisters: Mrs. Hurley (Leonard) Simpson of Douglas Georgia, Ms. Virginia Wilcox, Mrs. Grace Drivers, and Mrs. Charlene (Johnny) Smith of Fitzgerald, Georgia. Two Brothers: Mr. Walter Wilcox of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Lucious Gamble and Kelvin (Ollie) Gamble of Fitzgerald Georgia. A host of Nieces Nephews Aunts, Uncles Cousins, relatives and many sorrowing friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margie Ann Wilcox Thrower will be held on Thursday November 12, 2015 at 11:00 from the Rehoboth Fellowship church located at 601 East Pine street in Ocilla Georgia. The pastor Rev. Melvin D. Harper lll will officiate, Interment will follow in the Ocilla cemetery. Mrs. Thrower will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla from Wednesday morning 10:00 until 7:00 P.M. and Wednesday at the church until the funeral hour. The Davis funeral Home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
