Mrs. Jessie Mae Baker Wilcox

There's a sweet, sweet sprit in this place, and I know that it's the spirit of the lord.  There's a sweet expression on each face, and I know that it's the presence of the lord.  Sweet Holy spirit, sweet heavenly dove, stay right here with us, Filling us with your love.  And for these blessing, we lift our hearts with praise, without a doubt we know that we have been revived when we shall leave this place.  It is with heartfelt sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death and homegoing celebrations for Mrs. Jessie Mae Baker Wilcox.  Born May 3, 1947, Ashburn, Turner County Georgia, to the late Mrs. Malada McLary Baker and the late Mr. Jessie D. Baker.  Mrs. Wilcox received God's call to her eternal home on Saturday morning, June 13, 2026, at Pruitt Health care center in Ocilla Georgia.  She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Mrs. Jessica Harris of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Janice and Mr. Terry Edmondson of Fitzgerald Georgia, and Mr. Anthony Baker of Atlanta Georgia.  Several grandchildren along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mrs. Jessie Mae Baker Wilcox is planned for Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from the Empowerment Temple Church of God By Faith,509 North Oak Street in Ocilla, where Rev. Kenneth R. Moore serves as pastor.  Rev. Walter Baker will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. In Ocilla.  Mrs. Wilcox will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Jessie Mae Baker Wilcox.  Please continue to lift the Baker and Wilcox families up in prayer.
