Betty Jean CuringtonO far a closer walk with God, a clam and heavenly friend.  A light to shine upon the road, that leads me to the lamb.   It is with sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia, pause announce the death of Ms. Betty Jean Flowers Curington, 149 Falcon Road, Ocilla Georgia.  Born Monday May 5, 1947, in Lumpkin Georgia to the late Mrs. Ada Mitchell Flowers and the late Mr. Jesse Lee Flowers Sr. Mrs. Curington received God's call to her everlasting home on Sunday March 15, 2026, at her home in Ocilla Georgia.  She leaves to cherish her memories, her children:  Mr. Prentis Young of Ocilla Georgia and Mr. James Flowers of Blythewood, South Carolina.  Grandchildren: Ms. Lucretia Flowers of Tifton Georgia, Ms. Candace Thompson of Bloomington Indiana, Mr. Dennis Flowers of Blythewood South Carolina, Mr. Justin DeWalt and Ms. Jacquline DeWalt both of Philadelphia Penn.  One sister: Ms. Gwendolyn Flowers of Fitzgerald Georgia, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Betty Jean Flowers Curington is planned for Saturday March 21, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. from the Solid Rock of Praise at 901 East 4th Street in Ocilla where Pastor Mathew Baker serves as pastor and will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mrs. Curington will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis Funeral Home in Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
