Mrs. Ruth Bryant Gamble

Time is filled with swift transition, naught of earth unmoved can stand.   Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God's unchanging hand.  Trust in him who will not leave you, whatsoever years may bring. If by earthly friends forsaken, still more closely to him cling. and so, on the hymn goes.  It is with sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and homegoing celebrations for Mrs. Ruth Bryant Gamble aka Tugg.  Born Sunday, April 27, 1941, in Wray Irwin County Georgia to the late Mts. Lula Mae Tyson Bryant and the late Mr. Ulyssee Bryant.  Mrs. Gamble answered the voice of God on Sunday October 5, 2025, at her home in Ocilla, surrounded by her loving family.  She leaves to cherish her memories, her son: Mr. James Gamble Jr. of Ocilla Georgia.  Grandchildren: Katrina Bush, Tiffany "Nikki" Holden, Deidre (Dereck) Humphery, Kia Lewis, Lameisha "Pooh-Pooh Gamble, Aneshia Thomas, and Joshua Thomas.  Her sister: Mrs. Carrie (Theodis) Sneed of Miami Florida, along with a host of sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mrs. Ruth Bryant Gamble is planned for Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. from the Saint John Missionary Baptist church on Saint Stilla Road in Irwin county, where Rev. Herbert Coney serves as pastor.  Minister Marice Lake will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mrs. Gamble will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p. m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to lift the Bryant and Gamble families up in prayer.
