Mr. Jacob Manley

When peace like a river, attend-eth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll: Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, It is well with my soul.   It is well, it is well with my soul.  It is with sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death and Home going celebration for Mr. Jacob Manley of Fitzgerald, Georgia.  Born Wednesday May 24, 1933, in Osierfield Ben Hill county Georgia, to the late Mrs. Julia Graham and the late Mr. Wade Hampton.  Mr. Manley received God's call to his eternal home on Monday September 1, 2025, Legacy Assistance living in Tifton Georgia.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his Wife:  Ernestine Fields Manley, of Tifton Georgia.  Their children: Mr. Ulysses Manley of Maryland, Mrs. Cheryl West, Ms. Shelia Manley, and Mr. James Manley all of Brunswick Georgia.  His siblings: Bishop Warren and Mrs. Sheron Manley, Mr. Robert and Mrs. Carolyn Manley and Mr. Joseph Manley all of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Mrs. Clara and Mr. Willie Lundy of Fort Mills South Carolina, Ms. Bernell Manley of Charlotte North Carolina, and Mr. Jerry Manley of McRae Georgia. Several grand and great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Jacob Manley is planned for Saturday September 6, 2025, from the Evergreen city cemetery, 279 Benjamin Hill Drive, Fitzgerald Georgia   31750 where his brother Bishop Warren Manley will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mr. Manley will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements for Mr. Jacob Manley.  Please continue to lift the Manley family up in prayer
