Mr. Arthur James Wilcox

What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear, what a privilege it is to carry, everything to God in prayer.  O what peace we often forfeit, o what needless pain we bear.  All because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer.  It is with sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for Mr. Arthur James Wilcox, of 605 North John Street, Nashville Georgia.  Born Saturday March 15, 1947, in Irwin County Ocilla Georgia to the late Mrs. Willie Mae Young Wilcox and the late Mr. Willie C. Wilcox.  Mr. Wilcox received God's call to his eternal home on Sunday June 15, 2025, at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta Georgia.  A home going celebration for Mr. Arthur James Wilcox is planned for Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Davis funeral home chapel in Ocilla.  Rev. Randy Shelly pastor of the Springfield Baptist church of Fitzgerald Georgia will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 700 North Oak Street in Ocilla.  Mr. Wilcox will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements
