Mr. Anthony Harper

Father we stretch our hands to thee, no other help we know.  If you withdraw yourself from us, we have nowhere to go.  It is with sadness that the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mr.  Anthony Harper.  Born February 1, 1956, in Ocilla Irwin County Georgia to the late Mr. Robert Lee Harper and the late Mrs. Christine Roberts Harper.  Mr. Harper received God call to his everlasting home on Tuesday April 1, 2025, peacefully at Tift Regional Medical center, in Tifton Georgia.   Anthony leaves to cherish his memories, his siblings:  Mrs. Geneva Bouyer of Jacksonville Florida, Mr. Melvin and Mrs. Debera Harper of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Gloria and Mr. Gary Illi of Atlanta Georgia, Mrs. Patricia and Mr. Ronnie Rhett of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Dorothea Harper of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Valerie and Mr. Steve Lawson of Ocilla Georgia, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr.  Anthony Harper is planned for Sunday April 6, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. from Rehoboth Fellowship Church on East Pine Street in Ocilla where Rev. Melvin D. Harper lll serves as pastor and will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mr. Harper will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Saturday afternoon 1:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements for Mr., Anthony Harper.
