Deacon Junior B. Slacks

  With sadness in our hearts the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia 31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for  Deacon Junior B. Slacks of 510 West Alapaha Street, Fitzgerald Georgia  31750.  Born May 7, 1946, in Mystic Georgia, to the late Mr. Ezekiel Slacks Sr. and the late Mrs. Mattie Bell Crumedy Hyman.  Deacon Slacks received God's call from labor to reward on Thursday May 5, 2022 at his home in Fitzgerald.  He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Freddie Mae Deese Slacks, of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Children: Ms. Pamela Slacks, Ms. Dianne Deese, and Mr. Raymond Deese all of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Cherron Deese and Ms. Greta Deese both of Jacksonville Florida,  Mrs. Beverly and Mr. Markus Lawson, Mr. Tyrone and Mrs. Parsha Slacks of Chula Georgia, and Mrs. Karen and Mr. Carl Jenkins of Fitzgerald Georgia. His siblings: Mrs. Helen Baker of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Patricia Turner of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. George and Mrs. Janice Hyman of Fayetteville North Coralina, Mrs. Rosa and Mr. Monroe Crockett of Saint Petersburg Florida, Mr. James and Mrs. Sharon Hyman of Columbia South Coralina, Ms. Charlotte Middlebrooks of Mystic Georgia, Mr. Larry and Mrs. Gussie Hyman of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Charles and Mrs. Charlene Slacks of Abbeville Georgia, Pastor Erskin Slacks of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Eston and Mrs. Lakesha Slacks of McDonough  Georgia, Mr. Christopher Slacks of Fitzgerald Georgia, Pastor Derrick and Mrs. Melissa Slacks of Mystic Georgia, Mr. Carlos and Mrs. Cheryl Slacks of Fitzgerald Georgia,   Mrs. Sabrina and Mr. Darrell Jenkins of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Gwendolyn Slacks of Queensland Georgia.   A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, in-laws, Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home going celebrations for Deacon Junior B. Slacks are planned for Saturday May 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Friendship Missionary Baptist church, Moss lane in Osierfield Georgia.  Rev. Dexter Taylor will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Oak Grove cemetery Highway 32 West in Irwinville Georgia.  Deacon Slacks will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning at the church 11:00 until the funeral hour.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please keep the Slacks, Deese, and Hyman families lifted up in prayer.
