Mr. Jimmie George

Servant of God well done. Rest from thy love employ.  The battle is fought, the victory is won  enter thy master's joy.  A voice at midnight came,  he started up to hear.  A mortal arrow, pierced his frame.  He fell but felt no fear.  With sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mr. Jimmie George of 519 East 6th. street of Ocilla.  Born September 15, 1948 in Ocilla, Irwin county Georgia to the late Mr. Benjamin and the Late Mrs. Sallie Mae Walker George of Ocilla Georgia.  Mr. George Received God's call from labor to reward on Sunday March 20, 2022 at his home in Ocilla.  He is survived by is siblings: Mrs. Roxie Mae Ross, Mrs. Ida Mae Johnson and Ms. Ann White all of Ocilla Georgia and Mr. Buster White of Fitzgerald Georgia.  A special niece: Mrs. Arlinda George Murrell of Ocilla Georgia, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Mr. Jimmie George is planned for Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave, Ocilla Georgia, where his pastor Rev. James C. Curtis will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mr. George will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla on Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the George family.
