Mrs. Minnie Ruth Jones Baker

There's a sweet, sweet spirit in this place, and I know that it's spirit of the Lord.  There are sweet expressions on each face, and I know they feel the presence of the lord.  Sweet holy spirit, sweet heavenly dove, stay right here with us, shadow us with your love.  And for each blessing, we lift our hearts in praise, without a doubt we'll know that we have been revived when we shall leave this place. 

It is with sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia 31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mrs. Minnie Ruth Jones Baker of 130 North Main street Ext. Fitzgerald Georgia. Born March 23, 1947 in Abbeville, Wilcox county Georgia, to the late Mr. Will Jones and the late Ms. Mattie Mae Bucken Jones.  Mrs. Baker completed her earthly journey on February 2, 2022, at her home in Fitzgerald Georgia.  She is survived by her children: Ms. Milisa Brockington of Fitzgerald Georgia. Mr. Tommie and Mrs. Venessa Baker of Bainbridge Georgia, Mrs. Vickie Richardson, of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Jermone and Mrs. Bernessa Baker of Macon Georgia, Mr. Timmy and Mrs. Besty Baker of Douglas Georgia, Ms. Bernice and Mr. Ronald Gelsey of Jacksonville Florida, Mr. Ricky King of Fitzgerald Georgia, and Ms. Sabrina Baker of Fitzgerald Georgia along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. 

A home going celebration for Mrs. Minnie Ruth Jones Baker is planned for Saturday February 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery 301 East Valdosta Ave, Ocilla where Rev. Glenfield Wilson will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mrs. Baker will lie in state at the Davis funeral home, Ocilla Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to lift the Jones and Baker families up in prayer
