Mrs. Verline Roberts Jackson

A few more years shall roll, a few more seasons come, and we shall be with those that rest, asleep within the tombs.  A few more struggles here,, a few more parting o'er.  A  few more toils, a few more tears, and we shall weep no more.  Then O my lord prepare, my soul for that great day, O wash me in that precious blood, and take my sins away. 

With heart felt sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mrs. Verline Roberts Jackson of 610 East 8th street Ocilla Georgia.  Born April 2, 1934 in Ocilla Georgia to the late Mr. Charlie Roberts and the late Mrs. Jimmie Merdith Roberts.  Mrs. Jackson departed her earthly home to join the heavenly host on Tuesday January 4, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton Georgia.  She is survived by her children: Ms. Vernonica Jackson and Mr. Alvin Jackson both of Ocilla Georgia, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home goings celebration for Mrs. Verline Roberts Jackson is planned for Saturday January 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Rehoboth Fellowship church at 501 East Pine Street in Ocilla, where Rev. Melvin D. Harper lll serves as pastor, and will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mrs. Jackson will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Roberts and Jackson Families.
