Mr. Earl Wilcox Sr.

A few more years shall roll, a few more seasons come.  And we shall be with those that rest, asleep within the tombs.    A few more struggles here, a few more parting over.  A few more toils, a few more tears, and we shall weep no more.  Then O my lord prepare, my soul for that great day.  O wash me in that precious blood, and take my sins away. With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mr. Earl Wilcox Sr.  Born October 17, 1955 in Ocilla Georgia to the late Mr. Bee Wilcox Sr. and the late Mrs. Myrtice Anderson Wilcox. Mr. Wilcox peacefully received God's call to his heavenly home on Thursday August 12, 2021, at the Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville Georgia surrounded by a devoted family.   Mr. Wilcox is survived by his children: Mr. Earnest and Mrs. Natalia Boone of New York, New York, Ms. Courtney Daniels of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Katrina Bryant of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. Michael Wilcox of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Earl Wilcox Jr. of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Angela Wynn of Louisiana, Mr. Kevin  Freeman of Douglas Georgia, Ms. Shelia Freeman of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Tracey Freeman of Ocilla Georgia.  A special friend: Ms. Jackie Williams of Thomasville Georgia. Special niece:  Ms. Sylvia Wilcox of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Special cousin: Mr. Emmitt Ingram of Fitzgerald Georgia along with a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Earl Wilcox Sr. is planned for Saturday August 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery 301 East Valdosta Ave.  Rev. Randy Shelly will deliver the Eulogy and committal.  Mr. Wilcox will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning 10:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:30 until 12:30 noon.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Wilcox family.
