Precious Lord, take my hand, lead me on, let me stand, I am tired, I am weak, I am worn; Thru the storm, thru the night, lead me on, to the light, Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me on.  With sincere sympathy the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mr. Herbert Thomas of 517 East 5th street of Ocilla Georgia.  Born April 20, 1953, in Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Thomas entered into eternal rest on Friday April 23, 2021 at Pruitt Health Care center in Ocilla Georgia.  Mr. Thomas is survived by his children: Mr. Reggie and Mrs. Thomasina Smith of Douglas Georgia, Ms. Larounda Thomas of Ocilla Georgia, and Ms. Aiesha Jackson of Atlanta Georgia.  Sibling: Mrs. Easter Moffett of Newton Miss., and Mr. Willie Frank Thomas of Ocilla Georgia, along with a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Mr. Herbert Thomas is planned for Saturday May 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Pastor Herbert Coney, pastor of the St. John Baptist church of Wray Georgia will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mr. Thomas will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning 10:30 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Thomas family.
