Born June 8, 1952 in Ocilla Georgia to the late Mr. John Riley Jr. and Mrs. Ruby Mae Carter Riley. Mrs. Burch departed this life on Sunday August 9, 2020 at Dorminy Medical center in Fitzgerald Georgia. She is survived by her husband: Mr. Jerry Burch of Fitzgerald Georgia. Mother Mrs. Ruby Mae Riley of Ocilla Georgia. Children: Ms. Vivian Merritt of Ocilla Georgia, and Ms. Silvia Riley of Vidalia Georgia. Four Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Sibling: Mrs. Johnnie Mae Smith of Newark New Jersey, Ms. Clara Mae Riley of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Rebecca (Leon) King of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Aaron (Lillie) Riley of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Eddie James Riley of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Hayward Riley of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Essie Mae Riley of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Janice White of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Clifford Riley of Fitzgerald Georgia, along with a host of Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mrs. Betty Jean Riley Burch is planned for Saturday August 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery 701 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia. Her brother in law, Rev. Sidney Burch, pastor of Fairview Baptist church Fitzgerald will deliver the eulogy. Interment will be in the Ocilla cemetery. Mrs. Burch will lie in state at the Davis funeral home, Ocilla Friday Morning 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.
