Mr. Lamar Miller
With sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak Street Ocilla, Georgia pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mr. Lamar Miller 414 North Beech Street, Ocilla. Born August 24, 1952 in Ocilla Georgia to the Late John Will, and Burnice Cooper Miller and Mrs. Novella Miller. Lamar departed this Life on June 10, 2019 at his home in Ocilla. He is survived by his Mrs. Novella Miller who nurtured him with love and affection as only a mother could. Children: Michell (Willie) Ballard, Samantha (Terrence) Fields, LaTravia (Shenika) Miller, Kelcey Miller, Zandra Lightsey, Bridget (Samuel) Simmons, Latoya (Patrick) Daniels, Joaquin White, and Adrece Wilson; 21 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. His siblings who loved him beyond measure: Alton (louise) Royal, Wylene Mapson, Gwendolyn Miller-Boone, Willie Vernell (Lester) Smith, John Willie (Mary) Miller, Jr., Betty (Bobby) Denson, Terry Miller, Debra (Melvin) Harper, Cynthia McElhaney, Reginald Allen Miller LTC Retired, and Trent Avery Miller. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A home going celebration for Lamar Miller is planned for Saturday June 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Pleasant Grove First Baptist church 217 East 7th street Ocilla Georgia where the Rev. James C. Curtis serves as pastor, and will deliver the eulogy. Mr. Miller will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Friday evening 5:00 until 6:00. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery on North Oak Street. Please continue to lift the family up in prayer. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Please know that others care and are truly sorrow to hear of your loss. Lamar will not be forgotten.
I pray that God will give you the peace that is warranted as you go through your bereavement. Just remember that Lamar will always be alive in your hearts and memories. God does not make mistakes. Keep looking to the Hills....and know that you all are loved.
