DorethaHarrisWith sadness in a hearts the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia announces the death and home going celebration for Mrs. Doretha C. Harris, 405 North Cherry Street Ocilla Georgia.  Born March 29, 1944 to the late Elijah and Essie Mae Frances Ty-Cobb in Ocilla Irwin county Georgia.  Mrs. Harris is survived by her children:  Ms. Gloria Cobb of Ocilla Ga., Ms. Frances Cradic of Valdosta Ga.,  Ms. Vanessa (Justin) Harris of Douglas Ga.  Mr. Anthony Cobb, Mr. Terry Cradic (LaShawn) of Orlando Fla., Mr. Rodney Harris of Valdosta Ga., Mr. Ozee Harris , Mr. Willie Harris Jr. of Fitzgerald Ga. and Mr. Otis Harris of Jacksonville Fla.  One sister: Mrs. Elizabeth (Oscar) Beacham of Orlando Fla.  24 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces nephews cousins relatives and friends.
A home going celebration for Mrs. Doretha C. Harris is planned for Saturday September 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the West Point Missionary Baptist church, 118 Westpoint church road, Fitzgerald, Georgia.  The pastor Rev. Willie B. Pride will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 201 East Valdosta Ave. Ocilla Georgia.  Mrs. Harris will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday  morning 10:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:00 until 12:00 noon and at the church 1:00 until the funeral hour.  Please join us in lifting the Harris family up in prayer.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Met Doretha when Ozee was in Joyce Ashley & my kindergarten class and became good friends. I know she is happy with her Lord now. Prayers & love to her family.
