Ms. Evangeline Terry
With sincere sympathy the Davis funeral home of Ocilla Georgia announces the death and funeral services for Ms. Evangeline Terry of 518 North Roosevelt Street, Ocilla Georgia. Born October 18, 1950 in Ocilla Georgia, through the union of the late Leroy and Pauline Terry. She was an only child and was affectionately called "Beenie" by the many people who knew and loved her.
After moving to Miami Florida where she began to work at Entenmann's Bakery. She was extremely devoted to her work in the hotel Industry where she provided dedicated services until she retired.
Servant of God, well done! Rest from thy loved employ. The battle is fought, the victory is won. Enter into the joy of the master.
And so it was that our beloved answered the master's call on Sunday morning March 18, 2018 and quietly took her rest.
Evangeline is survived by and will be remembered by her children: Mr. Curtis Lee (Joann) Terry of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Regina Terry of Miami Fla; grandchildren: Mr. Curtis Terry Jr. Ms. Shereda Terry, of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Marquiata Duffie of Fitzgerald Ga; great grandchildren: Ms. Ahmora Terry, Ms. Jayceon Lately, Mr. Tyon Jones. Also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends, co-workers, neighbors and associates.
Rest beloved. Take your rest, and may light perpetual shine upon you.
A Home going celebration for Ms. Evangeline Terry is planned for Saturday March 24, 2018 from the Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia at 3:00 p.m. Ms. Terry will lie in state at the Davis Funeral in Ocilla Friday morning 10:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday Morning 10:00 until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery East Valdosta Ave, Ocilla Georgia. The Davis Funeral Home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements. Please join us as we lift the family in in prayer.
